we are entering the charli features on 15 collabs/remixes and then releases an album era and i am so excited for it! feels like 2019 again

the fact that *whoever had to approve things* ruined not only ONE charli era but TWO really saddens me. a lot. first we got the iconic punk concept of sucker being divided into an album and two cute eps and stuff,  and we would've even got all the iconic songs like mow that lawn, light it up, let's make love and others but then nothing happened and we got a normal album. then they destroyed all the iconic concepts and ideas for xcx world. like if what's written on that document is real... well, we really LOST! the app, the visuals, the fun ideas and stories.. like the one of her voice being stolen? iconic, legendary. ugh i'm so sad. 

Long story short: ppl love to say that the fans leaked the album which is false. The album got shelved since all the singles flopped. Period. It would be like a Sky Ferreira situation with One being the first official single for the pop era but flopping, the pop album being shelved (later on leaked piece by piece but before that) Sky recording a new pop rock album Night Time My Time and being released instead. Our "Charli" album.
Of course the album leaking didnt help but it wasnt the fans who did that.

After reading all the info Eclipse told us I would say Atlantic got scared bc they would spend a lot of money.mp3 with this era (which the stans would love) but they didnt saw profit for her. After all they want a radio hit and not a rainbow artistic era just to be beautiful and alternative. Its a shame bc music should be treated as art first of all and then money wise. Whatever... Charlotte is our pop princess and we will support her always

The rerecording of Red (the album) is going to be epic. And I can’t wait for the vault tracks for 1989.

Well as someone who has probably heard the original several hundred times let me give a little breakdown of some changes I have noticed (which are clear as day to me):
 
- In general in the song I feel like the drums are a lot more noticeable especially the hi-hat and the fast drumming part right before the chorus. Fiddle is also slightly louder i think.

- The background vocals are more subtle in this version, I feel like in the original you could hear them more prominently.

- Taylor's vocals are a lot fuller, less frail sounding she sounds a lot more in control of what she's doing and I feel like there is a brightness to the new vocals and an enthusiasm that wasn't there in the original, which probably stems from having to compensate a little because her voice did get a bit lower over the years. But it works perfectly for this song. Also she used to have a rather heavy twang still back then which is non-existant now and that, to me, mainly shows in her "R" pronunciations. Like "Real" or "For" etc. 
Long Story Short.mp3 I love her new vocals.

- Main vocal delivery/pronunciation etc. differences or lack thereof:
    - Verse 1 is basically exactly the same, no big differences
 
    - Chorus 1 "waiting" and "run" are 2 words where you can perfectly hear the thing about the brightness I was talking about, also confidence I guess. 
 
    - Verse 2 already starts a little differently, when she sings "so I" she kinda goes - _ - if you know what i mean lol in the original she just went - - - all just very flat. Also "dead if they knew so close your eyes" got a lot more flavor to it now. I guess that would be a good way to describe it. Also the "oh oh" after "escape this town for a little while" is very different. In the original she kinda just does 2 Ohs and this one feels more staccato-ish again from new vocal techniques. 
 
   - Chorus 2 "this love is difficult" she pronounces "difficult" completely differently from the original and the "but it's re eal" afterwards is also different. 

   - Bridge She added a "but" in front of "I got tired of waiting" that wasn't there before but that she sang live a lot I guess it became very natural to her. 
 
   - Final Chorus The way she sings "That's all I really know" is so much better here like to me it brings across the conviction this part is supposed to express so well. Also breathing here is slightly different, i think she takes one more breath throughout the whole section. 
 
   - The little Oh Ohs at the end are pretty much the same

I think for me, all those SOPHIE x Charli collabs were really, like ultimate pop escapism. It was like pop music for electro clubs, but whatever planet you were on, there hearing and dancing to those songs, they were the songs soundtracking this sort of immaculate, cosmic utopian idea lol.
 
In my mind, Charli and SOPHIE were a space-age duo. Even through some of the more unsettling, extreme industrial sounds that SOPHIE would create, it was in such a “ying and a yang” type of balance with the hyper glossy, bubblegum feeling, it really just got all the gears in my head turning. Imagination running wild. It felt otherworldly...

Everything they tease ends up leaking at some point, whether it be an hour later or years later as we saw throughout January. You can think you're trolling us, but we always get what we want eventually

Charli XCX is literally rich too. Anyways I think the Charli fandom is doing too much. Sophie was more than her contribution to Charli finding herself.
