I mean… I have to put myself into Katy Perry's shoes here. I'm not sure if I would believe a rape claim made by the same person who started a false rumour about me being molested? Kesha's most recent statement about Luke wasn't a good look either, she said she quote: "cannot recount everything that happened" and "only God knows what happened that night". With that said, it definitely wasn't a good look for her reputation. Edit: To clarify I'm not saying Kesha lied about what happened to her, it's just what Katy likely believes. I think people forget that things work differently offline, it happens all the time IRL. Like from Katy's perspective: she's known Dr Luke for a decade, they're friends, and a random girl with a grudge (being stuck in this contract) makes an allegation about him. Then goes on to spread a false rumour accusing him of doing something to you ? Kesha's lawyer also accused Luke of assaulting Lady Gaga, which Gaga came out and had to deny (despite being in support of Kesha). And also, while it absolutely makes sense for her to not remember every detail, it was just odd for a lot of people that her final statement on the allegations after they settled is weirdly worded and doesn't explicitly stand by her claims / only talks about how she doesn't remember what happened.

I was rooting for a Katy Perry renaissance this year It's a shame we're two singles in and there's already so much controversy. Lifetimes is good though — and I'm still rooting for her deep down lmao

I hesitated responding to this to avoid starting drama or getting another warning point, but since we're still talking about that.. it's honestly quite unfair. I got WP'd for quote unquote 'flamebaiting in an unrelated thread' due to the two Taylor-related posts I made on here, even though they were directly related to the topic at hand: Charli and her performance on the charts. Many people were pointing out the timing of Taylor's new release, which happened immediately after Charli and Billie's new single, is suspicious, especially given Taylor's previous acts of chart manipulation to block them both. A Taylor fan on here also announced they're 'leaving' the forum again because of Taylor hate, (I'm not sure if it was provoked by my post calling her 'chart obsessed' or by someone else), so that might've made the mods want to act quick... but really, I don't think things were out of hand on here at all. Tbh I listen to, and even support, several artists who are equally, if not more controversial than Taylor - and I've never felt the need to quit LanaBoards over people talking badly about them lol. I guess I'm glad I have thick skin..?

Whether she's doing this to target Charli and Billie or not, why are you acting as if "doing it to block Kanye this time instead" is any more mature of her lol… she's unhealthily chart obsessed mod note: user was warned for this post

People are so eager to tear Melanie down. It's kind of funny to a degree to watch how desperate they are grasping at straws, but it's mostly sad. Like, they've invented CP claims against her, as well as a rumour that the rape allegation number went from 1 to 6? (It's still 1). And people on TikTok are just running with it? She'll recover, but it's gross how the internet finds it so easy to distort and defame something just because they're bored and want to feel morally superior.
