Elina liked a post in a topic by Florida Dark in Best LDR Musical Moment
- the 'prizes, prizes, a diamond tiara, here's to the girl with the blue mascara' part from pin up galore makes me hold my breath every time i love it
- in high by the beach, when she recites the poem and the music fades out and her voice echoes, i could listen to it over and over again
- music to watch boys to bridge. the sweet way she sings 'nothing gold can stay...its all a game to me anyway' is so gentle but also hammers down the message well i think
- yayo aka ver when she sings the second chorus, it sounds so tender like a plea for a change in her life and the chimes at the end are so pretty and make me think of her looking at the stars
- in bartender where she sings 'bart-t-tender hah hah hah hah..' and then the instrumental stops and its just her voice is rlly nice

lock him tf up, not necessarily in prison but in some sort of treatment facility he's obviously insane and needs treatment. it scares me that people like that walk the streets freely. hoping lana will be ok and doesn't get hurt
could you please pick a more appropriate time and place to be horny

I hate how Lana is always dealing with this kind of shit.

I totally agree that Lana is the queen of her genre and the top of the class, but Ethel Cain is definitely not a distant copy of Lana. I hear Lana's influence in her music, but Ethel Cain has absolutely built her own universe as well and is the first artist I've heard since Born To Die to knock it out of the park for me right off the bat like Lana did. She's incredible.

I tend to agree that her earlier albums are more impactful (i.e., to me personally), but I don't think they're necessarily better or more personal. I mean Blue Banisters is a very personal album, just not exactly in the genre she got famous for. Also, her struggles are really different now (as in she is an accomplished artist), and just watching the news is a trumatic experience, so she sings about that too. She is of the news and in the news, as when she sang "Kanye is blonde and gone" (having sang at his wedding at Kim's request and having had social media "wars" with him), and the stuff about wildfires, I'm guessing she had to take a bunch of detours in Malibu because of them. Her weirdness may be a little blunted these days, but that could be due to the world stepping up its game in weirdness, so she doesn't want to come off as rubbing salt in the wounds, even while she's deeply affected by it. I guess the "unpopular" opinion would be: when she does sing about the news, she does so personally.

Maybe we should post handwritten manifestation notes again to pass the time

I truly hope we get one of these someday. I'd prefer zero unreleased on new albums, and save them all for an exhaustively organized box set with liner notes, stories, photos, the whole thing.

She’s swimming where Jeff Buckley drowned and died in the Mississippi. From all that I’ve read, it’s pretty unsafe to swim there. Risky, rebellious queen…

It’s true. One time I saw Lana hiking in Alaska and she put her foot into a grizzlies mouth while giggling.
