I hadn't known a single Halsey song before this album. But because I dig NIN and Reznor so much decided to give this one try. There are some gems on there where Reznor's magic really shines through and some cutesy meh songs. I can't name songs off of the top of my head because I haven't listened to it that much. Still if you're a fan of NIN, it's worth giving it a listen to imo. Edit: Warning though, cause she sounds like you mentioned at times and her lyrics make me cringe sometimes.

I don't know the exact time for this song but I blast Hozier's "Angel of Small Death & The Codeine Scene" before going out on a date in the evening. The thrilling guitars give me the sense of something beautiful and exciting coming my way. And if the night doesn't turn out the way I'd like it to be, I can just come back and listen "Cherry Blossom" whatever the time would be, telling me that I'm safe and everything is going to be all right and soothing me to sleep. (P.S. some random info: "Angel of Small Death & The Codeine Scene" was inspired by "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" by James Joyce.)

I understand the concern regarding her privacy, but she said all we need to know in an interview, it's not secret information. That said, it's not unusual for musicians, especially those with newfound fame and on the road for so long to get depressed, so no need to speculate further on it imo.
