now I just hope a&w also was submitted for best alternative performance, because that's the category I think she has the highest chance of winning

I love these banners! 😍 interscope is spending money and it's looking great.

honestly, guys, with strong record sales, strong streaming numbers, tons of high profile press, the taylor support, the highest charting song on billboard ever, the billy support, the tour's success, the artist of the decade award, the VMA for CN, the surprise huge success of say yes to heaven, the strong reviews for ob, the correct category submission, the weak competition in alt, and the overdue factor - THIS IS LANA GRAMMY YEAR. There would be an outrage if she doesn't win, and the awards would lose all their credibility (which has long been shaken anyway).

Especially since there's no controversy recently and everyone's firmly on Lana's side (more then ever). The stars are aligned!

She's winning at least one Grammy, and my money is on Alt album of the year. That said, i can imagine there being a surprise win with aw or ob; too, or best duet (CN).

I hope she goes with a great dress (not from the mall) and slays the fuck out of this award ceremony

I think she has alt album in the bag tbh

me too. We can start celebrating literally. No way are boygenius or mitsky winning this when she's outstreaming and outselling them by a huge margin. Thank god she's submitted in alt.

I have some hopes for ocean boulevard the song to get a nod. They nominater nfr (the song) and this one is just as timeless and classic.

less confident about aw and it's slutty aesthetics. Too contravercial for grammy

    Grammy Predictions/Manifestations:

Record Of The Year: Anti-Hero by Taylor Swift

Song Of The Year: Flowers by Miley Cyrus

Album Of The Year: Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd by Lana Del Rey

Best Pop Vocal Album: Midnights by Taylor Swift

Best Alternative Music Album: the record by boygenius

Best Rock Song: This Is Why by Paramore

Best R&B Album: SOS by SZA

sorry but that's super unrealistic. No chance in hell is she winning album of the year over midnights or olivia rodrigo

her best shot is alt album

Guys she's not releasing unreleased music, she's going to finally debut her Broadway play that she wrote

    (who else remembers that)

I reckon she'll re-release some of her old stuff (debut album or the Sparkle Jump Queen stuff) under Lana Del Rey. Because why not?

Also, I don't think she'd choose to name this Sparkle Jump Queen if it wasn't about her old music - right?

💯 But I prefer her more sexy stripper inner-slut inducing kind of music like cherry, freak, etc can't think I like any more of off top of my head cuz I'm like a Canadian Tire about the pain but like yeah you guys know what I mean when I mean like that music that just makes you want to get down and dirty on a fucking Pole

Cola is her ultimate sexy stripper inner slut track

I miss that lana. But most of all i miss the pop and hip hop lana

She does work fast but the only thing that makes me think it could be a wait is the fact that she never called it an album in her recent interview and that she has been touring so much. I think it just depends on how much she had done before she started tour in May

Let's face it. She's sitting on about a 100 unreleased tracks. God knows how many tracks were scrapped from OB, Chemtrails, Norman or even BB.

We already know she's been to to the studio, so probably has one or two new songs. She's been working with Cass McCombs who might be cooking up things instrumentally for her - even if she's not there.

If she makes one song per month, she can have a about 10-track album ready in by summer next year (counting a few tracks she could recycle and the ones she already has). But the time it's all finished mixing and pressing, we're looking at December next year or early 2025, like I said.

She's never gone more than 2 years without a record so 2025 is guaranteed, and we're already at the end of 2023. So it's just a year before the next single drops. And who knows, she might be doing soundtracks, collabs, covers in between.

Tbh at this point I don’t think we are getting this album will mid 2025 or early 2026😭

nah. It's lana. She works super fast. Late 2024 guaranteed, early 2025 latest.

but i hope she releases a shorter record - will take less time to produce and press.

We just had the longest album of her career. If we get another chemtrails, nobody should cry about it.

I'm not a success stan but I'm so so happy this ended up being one of her biggest albums ever, and a turning point in her career. I hope she knows that.

Yeah someone has to. It's not that hard to contact her on social media these days...

Jack's verse is one of my favorite moments on the entire album. Absolutely contrary to your comment, I think he sounds passionate and emotional and his voice with Lana's flow beautifully. When the "you gotta run" part starts I'm like :trisha:

Agreed. Also, four records in, it's nice to hear him actually get a verse. The man can sing. Or at least has a good voice.

I'm a Margaret fan. It's a super slow song that many will find boring, but a beautful song nonetheless. I just wish it was on Chemtrails. Woulda sit perfectly there.

violet isn't an album, i don't care if she says that but it is literally not an album. she is the only one who considers it one :bebe:

what mushrooms are you on?  Violet is a SPOKEN WORD ALBUM. The word "album" is in the title, therefore, it's an album.

The grammies have a separate category for this type of album. It's called, for example, Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Poetry Album.

Not every record has to be a music record. Don't be a basic bitch

Got a cop who turned on the backbeat

I love these so much :thirst:

does she really say cop and call out larkin?

whatever she comes out with, i hope that it kind of has a psychedelic element to it. Like for example, cruel world, zodiac, just drums lol. I love lana and she's given us amazing songs from the piano but i think it's time she gives us some drums

I'm open to piano only if it has a big orchestra production behind it like Young and Beautiful or Ocean Boulevard.

i love COCC but who gives a shit what it's outperforming? rich coming from user 'bartender' which is probably outperformed by guns n roses or something :benmawson:

    HM immaculate

well if a track is super low on everyone's list, that means it probably aint the best....

chemtrails is a bit of a hit for lana. Loads of people know it and love it. Which is why she's performing it in concerts. Along with bartender btw 😉

Dont think she performed hm over the past 10 years if ever

you’re taking this way too seriously :rip:

i just think trashing a literal icon the way you do with Kylie is uncalled for.

she has as big of a fanbase as lana does. How would you feel if someone said they were laughing their asses off at lana's two singles off of OB?

like, you don't have to like it. But don't drag the woman down like that. Especially not a woman who's been around for 3 decades, has solidifies her status over and over, and still has massive hits. Show a little respect

our musical duo would end kylie’s career!

no offence but i don't think kylie's 30 year old career and global success is going anywhere anytime soon.

especially not because of you and your sis.

I’m glad I listened to all the snippets before the album dropped cause I would’ve probably been expecting more songs in the vein of Padam Padam and Tension and would’ve been disappointed. The album’s cute but I do really wish she went for a harder club sound for the entire album, that would’ve been So good. Perhaps the success of Padam Padam will steer her in that direction for the next one.

it's kinda nasty tho to put out two singles in a hard club sound, and then have the rest of the record sound like Disco's throwaway tracks/B-sides.

I feel fooled. Thank god i didn't buy it physically
