So - now that this has been out for a rhile, I have to say that I really like it, but similarly to LFL and COCC, it is sn album I almost never listen to in its entirety, only picking out tracks or skipping songs - which is a shame, since I love a full album experience.

I mainly blame the Judah Smith interlude for it. It's something I don't feel like playing on a casual level, it's fartoo long to tolerate. Also, I feel like the tracklist feels a bit messy and clunky for everything after A&W. It just does not flow very well.

And I'm still really dad Taco Truck is not a full song. Really love her vocsls and the guitar on it

Just make a playlist without the tracks that don't work for you. I've cut out the interludes and the two mega boring song (Kintsugi, Fingertips) and the album is an hour long and flows so much better.

Those 4 songs have the lowest streams so I'm not the only one who's done this. Just really unnecessary tracks that should have been scrapped. It's strange ho she releases something like Judas Smith Interlude but songs like Serial Killer, Driving in Cars with Boys or Fine China were never released.

Looks like the remix release/release date change really was the reason it started tanking. They fixed it as the cover got changed back to normal. Took them 3 days to fix it.

Songstats finally recognizes the remix as an actual song and it’s getting playlisting:

The release date is now May 20th instead of March 17th:

I can’t believe this happened???:deadbanana: The incompetency of it all.

well, we already knew ben and co are useless. This is hardly news

  3. I say good for her. The way Instagram consumes our precious time in life is scary.

She shouldn't even need to have a reason nor give a reason. She doesn't owe anyone anything. Lots of celebrities don't have ig and they're fine. I'd rather she go away and write another masterpiece.

lana, if you're reading this, thank you for ob, and snow on the beach, and hollywood bowl. This was an era we won't forget.

it felt like a slower version of white dress with less emotion, but that's just bc it's not one of HER tracks, it's Rob's track with her as a feature
i don't think it was supposed to feel like a full-on song like Hollywood Bowl does

It's just so morose, and her voice is more grating than it is in Arcadia. It's right there in quality with that You'll Never Walk Alone cover.

On the other hand, Hollywood Bowl is a million times better, and should have got the video treatment.

this gets better with every listen. :defeated:

soo good! And i love the swimming pool and selling stories references. It's all very slim aarons. And it's super sophisticated. And it's just happy! A rare happy lana track. I realllly love it.

It's really giving COCC and Sweet Carolina

Really really really good my god

I loved it! It's more Happiness is a Buttery / Sweet Carolina for me. But I'd put it on Norman not on Chemtrails.

I'm glad their collab gave us this fruit. But it's the Lana show - Rob does little for this song and I'm sure Antonoff made it work as good as it does.

honestly, this is top 50 lana songs.

Considering that her current live show is based around the Candy Necklace MV, I think it's going to have  a longer life than that. And she never really follows what is most popular, even for her own music.

Never follows what's popular huh? Then what is this tiktok shit on her youtube?

    It's vomit-inducing.

Mod note: User was warned for being off-topic. Please do not bump a week-old comment to flamebait a totally unrelated song and project.

You're so angry! Why? Why are you so angry!

🤣🤣 i'm mega chill. I just cant stand when i see raves and unwavering support and "genius!" exclamations for everything ldr does - even when it's so obviously bad. Gives me the eek. Her fathers album should just be forgotten. That's all

I don't think we have anything to worry about. Their posts are already the written equivalent of scat.

More like lana's churning out scat and y'all know it. and then it bugs you when someone calls it like it is?

the song is literally crap on a stick.

you're always such a hater i'm just waiting for your scat attack :bye: i just know it

nah. stanning ldr and nfr and OB hard. but this shit is trying to pull on us - major fail. the laziest song she's ever put out.

How is a feature on her DADS album tarnishing her brand :toofloppy:

Well, is her dad mozart? No. He's a barely competent pianist by the sound of it. It's all very nepo daddy, which he admits.

While it's nice she's supporting him, it really does nothing for her career.

the song itself is abysmal. So yeah, it's tarnishing her brand. Luckily, it's so forgettable  no one will remember it by next Tuesday

This sounds nothing like beautiful idk why people are saying that

cuz it's a throwaway track that she churned out in 5 mins over a piano melody just like Beautiful?

Do people SERIOUSLY like this track?? Wow.

Fans will literally eat anything she dumps in the proverbial fish tank.

maybe more people would take notice of the candy necklace mv if Lana would release the extended version she used for the video

the fact is: candy necklace is a depressing song. Tarantino could have directed it with a billion dollar budget and it still woulda flopped.

i love the vid, it's one of her best. But she needs to choose her mv songs more visely. It's a fact, kiss, kiss.

It's turning into such a great year for her. 2023 really feels like Lana back in form career wise.

A return to Billboard is kind of necessary though. Bubbling under with AW and three other singles aren't gonna cut it though. Also, Candy Necklace massive budget video flopped big time. It has less than a half of Heaven's views - and that's just an old unreleased track with an iPhone image.
