About the process of creating the record: "It kind of took a little bit longer than I thought, and it ended up in a place that was different from where I thought it was going to end up, sonically. Sonically & lyrically, it moved forward just a little bit, which I'm proud of. The last song I wrote on the record was called "Change" because I got the feeling I wanted to change the sound a little bit. Now I'm excited to see what the next thing I write will be like too."

the "white lines and black beaches" is definitely my favorite part in the whole song
