i think chemtrails is better than norman. norman used to be my favourite record and all, but recently i’ve been finding it underwhelming and repetitive with the same melodies going through almost every track (and these melodies aren’t really phenomenal to be honest). and on chemtrails i think there is something about each track that makes it its own and i don’t think it fades into one as some people say. plus i think it’s more experimental than norman, songs like dark but just a game or tulsa jesus freak are very unique and i don’t think there are any similar ones in lana’s discography

her best song for sure, it should’ve been involved with blue banisters so it could get more recognition

i’m obviously not the first one to say it, but i just heard the lfl demo and lfl final alongside, and it’s insane how lana butchered the demo lol. it was such a beautiful, mysterious energy song, and it seems like they tried everything to commercialise it. so many parts of the production are so unnecessary, the whole upbeat arrangement and her “shut up shut up” vocals in the background. there’s so much it literally starts to sound like a mess. and the weeknd feature was so unnecessary too i hate it, i don’t like his voice in the first place, but especially i hate it in that song. but i do have to say that there are few elements and stems that could be brought to the demo to make it more “lively”, like the bells, and i guess synths (?) that sound like they’re falling down, these are something i really love about the final. but the rest is just too much
