I give myself two seconds to cry Let it crash over me like the waves in the sea Call me Aphrodite As they bow down to me vs The power of youth is on my mind Sunsets, small town, I'm out of time Will you still love me when I shine From words but not from beauty

i actually agree with this so much, i absolutely hate paradise and that era and the songs you listed are also the only ones i like, however there are some really good outtakes to it like angels forever or i donāt wanna go, if she went with these instead, it couldāve been something good edit: quoted wrong post, iām about to fix it now

i think chemtrails is better than norman. norman used to be my favourite record and all, but recently iāve been finding it underwhelming and repetitive with the same melodies going through almost every track (and these melodies arenāt really phenomenal to be honest). and on chemtrails i think there is something about each track that makes it its own and i donāt think it fades into one as some people say. plus i think itās more experimental than norman, songs like dark but just a game or tulsa jesus freak are very unique and i donāt think there are any similar ones in lanaās discography

her best song for sure, it shouldāve been involved with blue banisters so it could get more recognition

iām obviously not the first one to say it, but i just heard the lfl demo and lfl final alongside, and itās insane how lana butchered the demo lol. it was such a beautiful, mysterious energy song, and it seems like they tried everything to commercialise it. so many parts of the production are so unnecessary, the whole upbeat arrangement and her āshut up shut upā vocals in the background. thereās so much it literally starts to sound like a mess. and the weeknd feature was so unnecessary too i hate it, i donāt like his voice in the first place, but especially i hate it in that song. but i do have to say that there are few elements and stems that could be brought to the demo to make it more ālivelyā, like the bells, and i guess synths (?) that sound like theyāre falling down, these are something i really love about the final. but the rest is just too much -
nahh, donāt compare that ass margaret is to songs that are actually great, like tomorrow never came or god bless america, at least they have some nice flow and instrumentation, and margaret is just
