i remember when the target cover was revealed and i was super excited because it’s just such a beautiful picture and i knew i needed to have it. it actually turned out to be the first lana cd i ever purchased and i’m glad it was this one because i still love it <3

i swear bartender is so fucking good i can’t believe i ever overlooked that song. rick’s piano is just excellent and honestly, i think i prefer his clear-hauntingly sounding piano tracks more than jack’s, very mellow more dreamy piano tracks (i still do like jack’s work a lot - but there’s something different about tracks like bartender, change, fine china, cherry blossom, etc) -
her cover of NIN’s ‘Piggy’ is now available on streaming platforms <3

i definitely prefer the image of weird indie girl grimes from her earliest days, because it’s something that i could actually resonate with. but i do understand people grow and change, so aside of some of the questionable stuff she does, i can’t really complain about her being in better place now. with music, i liked miss anthropocene overall, it definitely has some good songs (especially my name is dark), but the last singles were just disappointing to me

actually, i remember my short obsession with this song last year, lol. i never really liked it so much (not the way that i disliked it, i just thought there are better songs), but one time i was working with something on my laptop for long, and for uncertain reason, i would have that song on repeat and then it just kinda clicked on me that i would replay it more often and it eventually became my second lana’s most streamed song. later i would feel a bit embarrassed for it and i still think it maybe shouldn’t have a spot so high (now it’s lower anyway), but i think it’s still a nice song, the outro is the most beautiful part -
currently admiring the silence.

i love each lana album and each defines her but from different perspective. i see no need to compare

nothing because i’m too socially awkward to go to a store

selfies booklet coming up again!

i don’t want her father to be involved with the project, if i’m not wrong she didn’t feel comfortable talking about wildflower wildfire around him, and that’s one of the best songs on blue banisters.

it’s honestly kinda interesting to me how lana’s perspective on her music has changed. when she was talking about norman, she would be aware that it was “stripped down, sad girl music, not accessible for radio”. but 2 years later, she released 2 albums that are even more like that, and it didn’t seem like a big deal. i wonder if the qftc controversy made her realise that it’s better for her to take more indie direction and do things for herself rather than for the public

thunder (demo version) would fit better on nfr, but i also don’t complain, because the strings version on bb is stunning
