Another collab with Charli sounds great as I love Cross You Out but I feel kinda meh about Sky these days. I saw her in Dallas (drove 3 hours there and back) in November and it’s the worst concert experience I ever had from one of my faves :/
She very obviously didn’t want to be there and had to end up cutting some songs and restarted a few of them very awkwardly. You’d think they’d have it together seeing as they’ve been playing the same songs every show for a decade.

Like.....Charli making a song with Lorde, Marina being friends with Charli again, Lana being blonde and giving us 2012 aesthetics back, even SOPHIE is releasing something, Katy perry (failing) coming back to pop, Gaga teasing.... what's your excuse miss Sky

I feel like another collab with Charli could really help her get back out there. I at least love seeing them together again. Seems like Sky is suddenly out and about living her life again, networking and traveling. So I’m feeling hopeful 🙃

just got back home from the Melbourne show and i’m honestly surprised by how good of a time i had. she wasn’t on time (shocker) BUT she was only half an hour late, which sounds pretty good in comparison to other shows.
 
obviously it wasn’t perfect, i believe we had 3 song restarts and i pretty much couldn’t understand a word of what she was saying in between songs. however, her vocals were really stellar and we actually had decent lighting so we could actually see her.
 
considering idk when/if she’ll ever come to Australia again i’m SO glad i went because i was almost about to sell my ticket

I'm not exactly feeling much about the new interview, I think it'll all come out eventually and we'll have new Sky Ferreira music. My real concern is what comes after that. I really think the final obstacle for this album is that her entire brand identity is NOT releasing music now. It's to have released music a decade ago. What will she have left when it's out and reviews come out saying it's not the album of the decade? The year? I'm hoping she proves me wrong, but she has spent the better part of the past 11 years being the ingénue who's been silenced by label executives or whatever. I can see why she'd be scared but it's also time to do it and move on.
Also she needs to release Descending. It'd be a huge misstep to do yet another come back and not release that song of all songs. All My Lovers Die is probably not strong enough, if it's finished and she has two unique verses with intelligible lyrics.

She’s not willing to bend, especially after this long. For now, she says Masochism is finished and coming “very soon” but she’s looking for the same spark she had with Night Time.

I was at the barricade last night and had so much fun celebrating what is clearly such an important album to those of us in attendance and to Sky herself. She seemed a lot less happy and confident with herself than she did when I saw her last summer, but she sounded better than ever. 
 
I was so pleasantly surprised to hear Ghost, that and Sad Dream are my two favorite Sky songs and have been so special to me for over a decade, what a treat. 
 
As for the comments regarding the lighting, restarting songs, and the throwing of papers are kinda out of context so I can clear them up from my point of view. It was pretty dark (after I Blame Myself is when this started) but that is kind of her thing so I'm unsure what people expected. She said something about it not being what she planned and that's why she had them turn the lights off during the song, but then she continuously asked for them to be fixed and got visibly frustrated when nothing was done. During EIE she literally asked all of us at the front to put our phone lights on in lieu of the lighting. 
 
She stated a few times during the show that she wanted to do a few songs over because the sound was not right, but she only completely redid 24 Hours. As for the paper throwing, she last minute added Ghost to the show and had the lyrics on stage with her, but threw them during the song to a fan at the front. Assuming she just didn't need them like she thought she might? 
 
She apologized a bunch throughout the show which made me kinda sad. She was doing great despite the clear distress she was in from the things going wrong. We were all having a great time and showing her lots of support, so I hope she understood that.
 
I had an incredible time and can't think of a more fitting night for this album. Beautifully messy, but you love it. Also, 2013 me would have been dying to know I got one of the set lists after the show.
 
I love you Sky!!! Incredible night. NTMT will forever be incredible.
