The way I listened to this album multiple times a day for weeks, then resold my concert tickets so I could hang out with my boyfriend instead and listen to Speak Now TV, and now I never listen to Portals 
 
I was so obsessed with Tunnel Vision and I re listened the other day and it was kinda cringe.

Dusted off my LanaBoards hiatus to check in here and  

I miss this game, I used to be obsessed. My computer is so shit now it won’t run the game anymore. Not to mention all the mods I had downloaded.
 
I even had made an Instagram for my main character ginger twink Sim 
 
Have they rolled out anything really good the last two years or so? 

I hope this post doesn’t come off too hokey but I’ve been trying to put my finger on what makes The Grants so great to me. It’s taken me a few weeks of listening to it before today to figure it out. 
 
I had a lot of loss last year, death of a loved one, death of a pet, and the end of a really great relationship, all within 3 months. I really got deep into music in the months that followed, Lana, Taylor, and a few others. I found lots of songs that I could identify with, sing along to, shouting to the lyrics saying how I was feeling. While this was cathartic, I was often left with a feeling afterwards of “well what now?”
 
The Grants has all these same qualities for me, but in some way it gives me the answer to the “what now?” question. I take those memories of all that I have lost, along with me for the rest of my life, and move forward. 
 
Maybe the song just came out at the right time in my life, where I am ready to take the next step, but the lyrics tell me exactly what I needed to hear.

I really love I Can See You but I’m getting annoyed that the bridge is so You Belong With Me coded like next time you hear it sing “But she wears short skirts I wear t-shirts she's Cheer Captain, and I'm on the bleachers” like it’s literally the same thing 😭😭😭

i don't care that she changed the lyrics of better than revenge. that lyric was incredibly cringe and taylor probably changed it because of that. yall are doing way too much saying its because of "woke gen z sjws".

Only got through Enchanted last night with my boyfriend, we will finish the rest up tonight. Some songs seem more successful than others. BTD and Mine sounded really good. I’m mostly underwhelmed by Sparks Fly and Enchanted (my two faves from the album). Something seems off with the vocals. But I think it’s just different and we will adjust in time.
 
I did watch the I Can See You video, and I really liked the song and the video!

I Can See MV really cool, it reminds me of Bad Blood, Ready For It and End Game MVs. 
 
Ngl I kinda wish that the re-recordings season would be over because I'm tired of waiting (and kinda tired of the easter eggs too lmao) 

I'm amazed how there's so few pages for blondie's thread here. As one of the biggest pop stars out there, I expect her thread to reach at least 1000+ pages so I'm genuinely shocked that's not the case.

I wanted to like the void video so bad but the corny ass running and the half ass convulsing/dancing was tew much. Ok she's always had a very unique dancing style but like this was mostly her rolling on the floor or running in place. It felt like she was in a hurry to get the video over and put something out :/
It's looks nice at least tho ig 

Seeing her as herself at the start of the video really solidified my dislike for the alien gargoyle costume, she’s always been so facially expressive in her music videos I miss that, Void is one of my fave songs from the album but oof…that video

The two Portals videos are cool, but they don’t really go anywhere or do anything. No story line. Methinks the budget was spent on CGI.
 
Album still slaps tho. 

The opening was good, underwhelming and blurry otherwise. 

At least Tunnel Vision should be next. Probably out by Christmas at this rate…

Melanie's voice must have definitely matured (or whatever the smoking conspiracy is) like RIGHT after K-12 was finished because she could barely sing that album on the tour. I mean, 80% the set was lipped. She sounds so much better singing this set of songs, they definitely suit her current voice better. I like that they use a bit more tune on certain songs as well. That mic is ON! Void & TV sound great here
