  1. Ooh thanks for the clarity as always from ya : ) …👍 gn
  2. Was bumping through old threads at the board… i truly wondered what they meant w paradise song… my conclusion would be that- it was that paradise (incorporating axl rose hub) that was registered as lana had an encounter w justin earlier that year right? *w beautiful people/LIB another… @BENTLEY
  3. I think the placement of diet mt dew was born of her label’s enforcement—to make the album more digestible for GP…
  4. Fascinates me a lot- about how Lanz wrote the majority of the record while living at Chateau Marmont… got me thinking of a living corpse/zombie- raised from the dead ground

  6. Ultra is fathomable as the outcome was brilliant- but born to die… Emile Haynie what have you done. Diet mt dew demo, nationa anthem demo, dark Paradise demo, what makes us girls demo, lolita lucky ones demo… emile… count your days my dude! If i was Lanz- i would be angered too..!
  7. The writing reminds me a lil bit of taylor swift : )
  8. This question/wondering may not hold any meaning- but was i talk to jesus really named that? Or simply “Jesus”?…
  9. Would you/people agree if I commented or said that ocean blvd is a cinematic album in sound? Or at least- the most from the last 3 (starting w norman)
  10. Still my favorite Lana composition of all eternities.
  11. She has never mentioned that song on interviews… : )
  12. That’s what i thought as well… i sort of think that the accusation of lana being the person who leaked driving in cars in sept 2011 was that- her label didn’t like the idea of it being on an ep/album so she leaked it herself as she acknowledges that the composition won’t be in use of commercial meanings… Ah… my friend i’m sorry i lost it due to time and i found it from a wayback machine site…
  13. Oh yeah… i don’t know where shall i put this but lanz’s label was planning for an EP release in sept 2011… source: turnstyle interview 20/09/2011
  14. Ms. Grant and Mr. Antonoff sins shall forever be forgiven as to made this beautiful designated composition of a song…
  15. Ocean has good vocal inflection- absolutely the same technique she used in title/arcadia but a better execution… Was referencing : blue title track : i said i’m scared of the santa clarita till the diamonds the rust and the rain arcadia : the whole chorus doesn’t mean anything that i hate these compositions- they are beautiful, some of my favorites absolutely… was just pointing the funniness out of the vocal executions of those two…
  16. Great lyrics of an album… the vocals on the other hand though… it giggles me sometimes listening to her singing here…. How she went to loud to quiet in title track and Arcadia is funny- a lil bit…
  17. Right it’s dreadsome how boring this year’s leaks have been- can’t complain as we managed to have back-to-back compositions….
  18. Good idea… i would honestly think it would be something off NFR!
  19. Interview from ILikeMusic Sept 22, 2011… sorry for the long wait… : ) @lanaismamom How would you describe your music-making process? How do songs like ‘Diet Mountain Dew’ and ‘Video Games’ go from initial idea to finished track? Every one is really different. ‘Diet Mountain Dew’ I wrote at a time when I was really happy. I’d meet someone who was perfect for me. We had taken a trip to town and town, and he said “Diet Mountain Dew babe? New York City?” Then he was like, “You’re so pretty” as I smiled. For two months, I only had that line, and it wasn’t until I decided to put it into production that I fleshed out of the verse. The verse could have been anything, but the chorus, I had a long time. There’s usually only about one-fourth of the song that compels me. Something that hit home in my life. The rest of it, I just make up around it. How about sonically? What sounds drive you? To be honest, ‘Diet Mountain Dew’ and ‘Kinda Outta Luck’ aren’t even going to be on the record. I sort of put them up on the internet because I could, because they wouldn’t be on the record. In my mind, they’re sort of just fluff. The real record is different. It’s a bit darker, but it’s beautiful.
  20. How could i ever forget her… : )
