But this is exactly what "speculation" it's all about. We speculate about the HM era (promo, track names, sound, videos, lyrical themes etc.) on the little information we have.

Regarding HM I have one more speculation to make that is based on the logic of this quick release after UV.
I think that the HM release is closely linked with the relationship between her and Interscope. There are two scenarios possible in my view:

    1. Confrontation. I think that this scenario is unlikely because: her label gave her considerable artistic freedom, they didn't invested to much in her (UV promo was minimal) and she sold well overall (even with UV when we compare her to other artists), despite that she manifested some random behavior she's not a troublemaker and her image isn't really a problem. There is a "laissez faire" option regarding the HM release, variation which is also unlikely because we are talking about the financial interests of a huge label.

    2. Synergy. She said that she had gone too far with UV and practically ended the era with an Iphone statement. Her label probably said that "we let you do what you wanted on UV but now please work with us, we want a proper big label release because we are the fckin biggest label in the world and you celebrated this fact with the chief on a Billboard feature". So, I think that the stars are aligned and Lana and her label want the same thing: a release of BTD proportions. The possible consequences of this:
    - There will not be any seriously controversial lyrics on HM (some in the media tried to talk about "domestic violence" regarding the leaked HM lyrics but this opinions are laughable)
    - HM will not be a slow affair like the second part of UV.
    - She will return to a more pop sound with some jazz inflections, but I'm hoping for something new in her sound that usually distracts fans and critics from focusing solely on her lyrics. After the leaked lyrics I'm rooting more for the sound tbh.
    - HM will have some hit candidates and one of them will be the lead single that she'll introduce (hopefully) on this tour (at the Gov. Ball) and she'll have a BTD level video coming out with it. Another 2-3 singles will come out in support of the album with at least one more video.
    - She will be far more active, I'm certain that she will do some TV shows and you'll not see any random statements from her in interviews (that doesn't mean that they will not be interesting but I think that she learned her lesson from last years interviews)

A Lana stan can only hope (see you guys in this thread when the first single drops)

    UATW, DR and YCBTB,

It's not only disappointing that she plays less and less the more the tour moves on, it's disrespectful towards the people who pay GOOD money to see her live. I mean, her set is just slightly longer than Courtney's and Courtney is the opening act.

Instead of adding more songs to the playlist, she cuts songs from the setlist. Some people are paying 200 bucks to see her, not including travelling costs. Like Lana, do you need a reality check how much money that is for some people?

I meant to take note of all the songs she sang, but wasn't able to due to the craziness in the pit.  I do know she did NOT sing FMWUTTT.  I'll admit, I don't know some of her older/unreleased material, so I can't confirm YCBTB.  Not sure about UATW either, or if she went straignt from West Coast to Born To Die.  There was a short pause before Born To Die, too.  Also, she stopped West Coast about 30 seconds in due to sound balance problems, which is when she did an a cappella sound check (which was beautiful -- same one she did last year at Hollywood Forever, but I don't know what song it was; she didn't sing as much of it last night as she did at HF).

It was kind of cool that she sat down to sing Chelsea Hotel.  I suppose it goes with the more subdued nature of the song.  She did NOT sing National Anthem, or (thank goodness) Carmen.  No Body Electric, either, which was surprising, so Cola was the only representative from Paradise.

Since some people asked, I'll post my personal account of the concert here:

I arrived on-site at 8:45 AM.  Parking lots were closed, so I parked almost a mile away and walked down the hill with my chair, umbrella, and backpack.  I was in line right behind a group of people who had arrived at 8 AM (surprising that no one had arrived between them and me).  Everyone was in the same line to start, regardless of the ticket type.  I estimated that I was about #50 in line.  We did not do the number thing, but the line was very calm and everyone was respectful about maintaining their places.  They had portable bathrooms for us, too, although no handwashing station, so I was glad I brought hand wipes and sanitizer.

Thanks to @@buster for the tips on what to do, so I had plenty of food and water with me, and the chair was an excellent idea.  We were told later that sometime around 2-3 PM, Natalie from VIP Nation (part of LiveNation) would come around to separate out the VIP people from the regular ticket holders.  The group I was hanging out with had one Silver VIP ticket holder among them.  I had also sold one of my extra VIP tickets to someone else, who arrived around noon or so.

Around 3 PM, Natalie came by to find the Silver VIP ticket holders.  After confirming our IDs, she gave us all yellow numbered wristbands.  She said we would be lining up at a separate location at 5 PM to go in at 5:30.  At that point, we no longer needed to stand in the regular line and were basically free to leave or whatever we wanted to do, as long as we were back by 5.  The girl who bought my extra ticket had also parked up the hill like me, so she and I walked back to our cars.  She went to a store to buy some things, and I ran home (I live close by) to drop off my extra food and my chair/umbrella.

I got back to the theater around 4:15.  By then, the parking lots were open.  I parked and found where the VIP crowd was, and found my other two silver VIP friends and hung out with them.  Another friend of mine had agreed to buy my other extra VIP ticket (last-minute extra since my wife opted not to go to the show), and arrived around 4:45 and got in line with us.  We were ID-checked again and led inside the gates at about 5:30 or so.  We then had to wait inside for security to tell us to proceed.  Another 30 minutes, and then we were led to the entrance to the pit, where we waited again for another 30 minutes or so.  At about 6:30, we were finally allowed into the pit, and we scrambled for good spots.

I managed front-row pit!  I was just to the right of the stair platform.  The original schedule had Courtney Love coming on at 7:30, and Lana at 8:45.  That got pushed back about 45 minutes or so; Courtney was scheduled for 8:15 (she came on closer to 8:30), and Lana at 9:30 (she came out at about 9:45).  Courtney was fun, though I don't know any of her music and it was hard to understand the words.  She did a good cover of Stevie Nicks' "Gold Dust Woman."

In the pit, there was an annoying guy behind/next to me.  He was basically behind me and the girl to my left, but he had a hand on the barricade.  He kept trying to push his way up to the barricade, and at one point during Courtney's performance, had somehow managed to get up there and push ME back.  After Courtney was done, though, I muscled my way back up to the front and held on for dear life.  We held our positions waiting for Lana to come out, which she finally did.

Every time Lana even got *near* our side of the stage, I could feel the pit crowd surge forward.  It was like being moved by current in the water; sometimes I felt like I was going to be picked up and moved.  I had to hold onto the barricade and really hold my ground to avoid being pushed back.  The annoying guy I mentioned also had smelly hair, which didn't help every time his head got in my face.  My one friend that bought my 2nd extra ticket had to leave about 2/3 of the way through Lana's set, another annoying guy that was behind her got her spot.  (He was annoying because he kept yelling "Lana, fuck me!" and "Lana, take me backstage!"  He was yelling the same thing to Courtney, too.)  But it was all good.  The concert itself was fabulous.

As I mentioned, I was just to the right (stage left) of the stairs.  Unfotunately, when Lana came down off the stage, she started going to the left (her right), and when she came back, she stopped 3 people down from me.  When she went back up the stairs, she said she'd be back, but she didn't come back down again, so I didn't get my selfie.   I also was unable to personally hand her the CD some friends of mine and I had made for her, so I gave it to one of the security guys at the end, who put it on the stage with some other stuff people had given them for her.

Other than that, the concert was really good.  I liked the covers she performed, and the fact that she sang some previuosly unreleased songs.  Courtney Love was fun, too.

I'm glad I got to experience the whole arriving early and getting into the pit thing, but would I do it again?  No.  Not even for Lana.   Once was definitely enough.  My lower back is not the best, and by the time it was over, it was *really* sore from standing so much.  My feet were hurting, too, and my chest/abs were hurting from being pushed up against the barricade so much.  It was worth the discomfort one, but I wouldn't do it again.  Hopefully, I'll have an opportunity to meet Lana someday, but time will tell.

@@buster They let the Gokd VIP people with pit tickets in the pit first. Made the Silver VIP people really angry, but I mean it made sense. She came down and signed my hat and told me to keep it for good luck. It was a fantastic show.

Also, Courtney Love was something else. More of a comedian than any performer I've seen. She's still got it.

One of the better pictures I took. I'm not a fan of having my phone out at shows, so I didn't get too many. I'm on my way to San Diego as we speak for the show in Chula Vista tomorrow, super excited.

    Play along please.

    Instructions:
    - Reply with a series of three numbers between 1 and 50 (for example: "3 // 16 // 49")
    - Based on these three numbers, I will select your individual Lana Del Rey-inspired nickname, determined by a private list I have in my possession consisting of three categories. If the number 3 is "sparkle", the number 16 is "jumprope", and the number 49 is "queen", then your name is "Sparkle Jumprope Queen"! Easy enough.

Just something to do I made this list and I'm mixing and matching and cracking up and remaining without a life, so I might as well share the love. They also make good member titles

I don't really see what's the deal with the chorus, the chorus in Is This Happiness is weak as fuck too, the only thing that makes it bearable is the way Lana sings it so let's just wait for the song to leak or to be performed live and see what happens

I think she registered because she's performing it. Nothing else. The producer is obviously not a big name so he's excited about his song finally getting recognition but I'm pretty sure she contacted him to get the studio files and stems and that's it ~ not to rework it or anything. Both UATW and YCBTB were already registered. If she puts these songs on the record it'd be amazing though, it's always nice to see her embrace old material when we all know how she felt about it.

I want to know why she's singing THESE songs too!!! I mean I kinda understand why she's singing YCBTB, but what about Serial Killer and Us Against the World. The last one was on her Soundcloud back in 2010 so but Serial Killer was so random lol.

I have so many questions about this because I never expected this from her. She knew the lyrics for all 3 of them while we were here thinking she forgot about them Did she have the lyrics saved in her cracked old-ass MacBook?

Also would it be a long shot to say the versions we have are the only ones she recorded? If she ever performs songs with V2s like Live or Die which version would she perform?

What if she ever performs unleaked songs like Roses or Gorl That Got Away?

so I have this idea..and idk if anyone else has come up with it but.. i feel like the title "Honeymoon" may refer to the honeymoon period of not only a relationship or marraige but also perhaps, the honeymoon part of the abuse cycle.

Reconciliation/honeymoon[edit]The perpetrator may begin to feel remorse, guilty feelings, or fear that their partner will leave or call the police. The victim feels pain, fear, humiliation, disrespect, confusion, and may wrongly feel responsible.[5]
Characterized by affection, apology, or, alternatively, ignoring the incident. This phase marks an apparent end of violence, with assurances that it will never happen again, or that the abuser will do his or her best to change. During this stage the abuser feels overwhelming feelings of remorse and sadness, or at least pretends to. Some abusers walk away from the situation with little comment, but most will eventually shower the survivor with love and affection. The abuser may use self-harm or threats of suicide to gain sympathy and/or prevent the survivor from leaving the relationship. Abusers are frequently so convincing, and survivors so eager for the relationship to improve, that survivors who are often worn down and confused by longstanding abuse, stay in the relationship.[7][8]

i know this sounds like a reach.. but its at least notable that right after lana releases an album about an abusive situation, she releases one called honeymoon.. its also interesting how.. ever since the release of UV she hasnt exactly been the most outgoing to her fanbase.. she (or at least her management or record label) scraped multiple videos they already teased.. not to mention, although lanas album was an extremely solid album.. it was sort of a let down compared to the over the top beauty and dramaticness of btd/paradise. in a way lana is almost an abuser to us in this situation.. but now shes feels remorse or guilt for what she did.. im pretty sure she said in an interview that she sort of regretted some of the things she did on UV because it was misunderstood a bit.
so now lana is trying to pull us back in by going back to the way things were in the beginning. bringing back that btd/paradise sound and shooting new videos.

also it sort of highlights how she feels her life is.. things go to shit.. but it all comes around and life gives her enough love and affection to go through it all again. its like a cycle.

i also found that some of the lyrics from dont let me be misunderstood sort of fit this idea.
Ya know sometimes baby I'm so carefree
With a joy that's hard to hide
And then sometimes it seems again that all I have is worry
And then you're bound to see my other side

    If I seem edgy
    I want you to know
I never mean to take it out on you
    Life has its problems
And I get more than my share
But that's one thing I never mean to do

    Cause I love you
    Oh baby
    I'm just human
Don't you know I have faults like anyone?

Sometimes I find myself alone regretting
    Some little foolish thing
Some simple thing that I've done

Cause I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood

Last album lana released west coast first to set the mood for the record.. and although she hasnt released her cover.. we already know the lyrics.. they show remorse.. she is apologizing for her other side.. anyways.. sorry this is so long ...and sorry if its a reach.. i just figured i ought to say something

I'm speechless watching these videos. So often when an artist will do obscure or 'fan favourite' songs, they will do a half assed version, as though just remembering them is enough. But Lana looks to be genuinely enjoying singing songs most of us had resigned ourselves to only ever hearing on demos and leaks. I don't even care what this means for the future - this is Lana reclaiming her own past.
