What was the first album CD/digital/vinyl/etc you ever bought? Mine was Taylor Swift’s first album in 2009! I had an iPod nano at the time so this was back when you had to physically upload the album to your iTunes and then connect your iPod to your computer to download. Kinda crazy how much success shes had since then. Although I don’t listen to her as much as I once did, it brings a lot of good memories as a child & it’s still an amazing album. I remember my friends and I loving this album at the time, it’s very nostalgic <3 Also just realized how 2000’s this album cover is and I love it tbh Discuss!

Honestly not just bc I’m not a fan of Nikki but if they wanted to do a bunch of collabs or a collab album, it would make more sense for it to be primarily Nikki’s album rather than Lana’s. Nikki needs Lana more than Lana needs Nikki lets be real manifesting no Nikki though on lasso but I fear that won’t be happening

Ik others have chimed in already, but post Malone has been talking about a country album for a while now. He’s mentioned it since at least last summer and confirmed a country album in November!

I’d love to know her definition of country bc apparently every genre is just country to her Anyways, I’d die for an album like this so I hope she has this type of country on lasso if she doesn’t I need a jazzy album in the future it would be such a vibe

People asking what it sounds like- sounds similar to this. Very great gatsby upbeat type jazzy but lana style. Cant think of anything she’s done before that sounds similar, but I do hope she revisits jazz music in the future

I think it would make sense for it to be similar to a country LFL, since she’s been very into the LFL era lately. Maybe she’s trying to do a wider range of country music so instead of just a folky sound, she’s trying to do multiple subgenres of country, going through the history of country music. Kinda hoping for not as many collabs though, but I’d be happy with a dolly collab if she does

Okay I caved in and used a VPN it’s an upbeat jazzy song, like a more upbeat summertime the Gershwin version but more atmospheric especially towards the end. I kinda love it idk reminds me of a 1920s flapper dancing

If she is really putting a Quavo song on this album, I could see it being like OB. OB has more slow piano ballads, and the last part has more upbeat songs. So maybe Lasso's first half would be more folk-country, and the other part would be more upbeat, with some country rap and maybe some country pop.
