The snippet sounds like a cute dance-y house inspired song and honestly Sam Smith's voice sounds good on uptempo dance songs so I'm actually kind of fine if there's a feature and its them. Plus they do numbers on UK radio so it will (hopefully) get our girl going into 2024 and her new era with two UK radio hits (speed drive being the other)

funnily enough i was just thinking today about not wanting to get fingerprints all over the pop 2 repress sleeve

Proselytizing a bit with Charli as the example - for the vinyl girls, gays, and theys - I made a big order of vinyl sleeves for my whole collection; I've been waiting on this company to restock their clear inner sleeves (the ones that the records specifically go in) - they've been OOS for QUITE awhile due to supply chain issues, but they're now back.
 
The clear inner sleeves pair with their dual pocket outer sleeves so you get keep the colored vinyl on display + you never have to actually deal with the jacket. It goes in the first sleeve and you never have to touch it; only the record. Honestly makes storing + displaying a little nicer.
 
Is it extra? Absolutely.

But like, POP2 with that plum vinyl up against the silver so sexi.

i would've loved to hear a collab with Caroline Polachek or Grimes tbh, one of SOPHIE's strengths was constructing a sonic world that fit the singer's personality so well and theirs are quite unique- which would result in something very interesting imo.
 
miss her so much, can't believe it'll be 3 years since she passed soon. hearing new music from her was my favorite thing everrr & it's a shame we might never experience that again. not getting my hopes up for a posthumous release at this point but i'd be happy to get anything, even if it's just the transnation leaks fully mixed + mastered 

A Yeule collab. I'd love SOPHIE feat. Yaeji, Hudson Mohawke, or 100 Gecs. I wonder if she would have experimented w poppier, more mainstream friendly artists. She did work with HAIM after all.
 
OT but I miss her so, so much sometimes. Her death has hurt like few others. Her sound feels like home in music form to me in an abstract way. She was such a trailblazer and ugh, I'm tearing up right now just writing this.

I'd personally like to cast a vote for the opposite, to be honest.

the fact that the fans will go against her 360brat wishes and leak shit that we dont care to see or might even prevent somebody from being interested in her like her having a little birthday dinner with matty healy but gatekeep the actual interesting stuff..

of course they switched after they saw how she revolutionized pop music and got acclaim for it. she doesn't need to be getting smash hits, she is really successful in the alt pop niche she occupies and sits at the forefront of that just like lana. good for atlantic to realise they'd be losing talent, i hope they give her even more creative control and budget.
