the story of All Too Well 10min version is essentially she was playing the song while on the Speak Now tour on stage during rehearsal and someone recorded it and the recording is apparently 10mins. that is all we know, but my guess is she played around a lot with the song in those ten minutes and likely did a good bit of the end portion on the piano as she worked the lyrics - we see a lot of her process in the reputation Making Of videos. so I think it basically was the same song but it was never MEANT to be ten minutes and there weren't 10 mins worth of lyrics. simply, the recording of her MAKING the song initially is 10 mins.

Tangentially related: I really have a hard time believing that really any of the vault tracks were actually from the respective eras and not from Midnights

IDK this seems like classic gatekeeping behaviour to me. "You don't get her so the fact that you like her is irritating to me because you're too young/don't understand" is what it reads as IMO. Who cares if 13 year olds like her music?
Even 13 year old "swiftie-esque" fans who might not "get" it the way you perceive yourself to, are allowed to support and love her music. Oh and by the way, it's these types of kids who support artists directly, share their music with everyone, make fan art, buy physical copies...
Imaging trying to control who listens to what or likes what they like. Or being like, "Sure you like her but you don't really UNDERSTAND"
an example that comes to mind. Lana may have written music that was going over my young head when I first heard her. Doesn't mean I didn't love her, love the music, and that she didn't mean something important to me. Doesn't mean that the music doesn't mean something to me, even if I'm not getting what she was intending.
Let young kids like what they like.

Yes, that's correct. But surely if @@Ghost Town has found Lana Boards, they probably know how to Google and find the regular edition. I thought they would be talking about this one, no?
https://store.florenceandthemachine.net/*/New-Product/Useless-Magic-Gucci-Special-Edition/60L70N0S000
which will definitely never be stocked again.

We got from the river, for sure, I keep the angel, 9 ambient tracks, Coachella set, untitled (demo), all of which in the past year I believe. We’ve been eating and not even knowing it. Thanks meemaw

there really isn't a lot of similarities between ethel and lana, a lot of lana stans have deluded themselves into thinking any woman who sings about tortured shit is drawing inspo from her. Lorde and Ethel are a great example of artists who get dragged for copying lana when the reality is that they all fall in an umbrella genre. The gag is that the artists that should be discussed for very clearly trying to emulate lana's sound are not being talked about. And i'm gonna tell ya'll right now that these artists are not the ones pulling numbers, cultivating a fanbase, or cracking the top 3000

salem just tweeted yesterday about how shes annoyed that "an artist that built most of her career on sampling" wants to cease and desist one of her songs for sampling her, and one of salems songs heavily samples knuckle velvet.. so i'd say that sounds pretty non-friendly

It may have been true at the time she said this, that she wasn't listening to Lana and hadn't since UV, probably due to a bit of irritability with her comparisons to her. But she seems to like her again if she's adding fishtails into her playlist. I guess she's more confident as an artist now and knows that her music is nothing like Lana's (because its not) - she's definitely got a very distinctive sound imo. Although i can also see why some comparisons are made because there are some clear inspirations, but there is nothing wrong with that. Every artist is inspired by someone, even if unaware

also the irony of the book being called 'eat the world' and her selling it for $25+ is hilarious tbh
our contradictory girl
'owned by a sheik who killed thousands of gay men' to eating at that exact hotel a few months later pipeline

Just saying, yall need to realize how much she puts into her music and how much it takes to do it all on her own, she explained it perfectly in her recent live. I’m happy to wait, I’m glad we are seeing her again and that she feels comfortable enough to share with us again, just the little things.
the music will come and we all know it will be amazing and probably way better than what we all expect. If anything it’s nice to see people so excited for new projects but I don’t blame her for wanting it to be as perfect as possible given how quickly she blew up with the fanbase.
idk just my high thoughts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

When she still had her Tumblr account, she said the B-sides "EP" was around 1 hour long... So yeah, I'd call it an album

If she’s still releasing waco texas the b-sides are obviously not scrapped.. its just probably not an ep anymore and a full album
and if it is who cares lol
