Not that this influences my enjoyment of an album, but I hope she does not get shit on by the critics this time. Preachers Daughter was an amazing album and publications like Pitchfork and reviewers like Fantano tore it to shreds by saying it was too long and derivative of Lana.
Ironic that the same ones who used to trash Lana can't stop comparing every female artist to her these days for the most ridiculous reasons.

Who said I have come to that opinion based on what lanaboards has said? I have seen her live many times and her setlists usually have too much old stuff and not enough new and the old stuff she does play is often the same songs. If people on lanaboards and her reddit complain about setlists all the time, there is a reason for that even if you don't agree.
She does not owe me anything and can play whatever she wants but there is no harm in me wishing for a refreshing set next time I go to one of her shows.

The chance to see Lana in something besides a festival is tempting me bite the bullet and get tickets even though we all know that the odds of the setlist being interesting are low.

I hope a new single is right around the corner but that picture she used is from the Hearts Aglow era. I expect her to post some sort of progress report from the studio and announce some shows for the spring where we might hear some new tunes before anything is announced. Whatever happens, it will be nice to have her active again because she has been in total social media hybernation for like seven months now.

The unfortunate reality is that this war has been turning against Ukraine ever since the counter offensive failed
Let's look at some hard realties, free from the propaganda of both sides
This is a war of attrition and Russia has an overwhelming manpower and material advantage. All the billions in the world we send Ukraine will never solve this problem. Russia has been gradually pushing forward for months now and these territories they are seizing are heavily fortified strongholds. Ukraine is currently barely holding onto their lines and the Russian main offensive has not even started yet, I fear that the front will collapse once it does, soldiers of Ukraine have been expressing similar fears for awhile now
Downplaying the severity of the situation will do nothing to help Ukraine, the days of those early Ukranian successes have vanished and I see little hope that they will survive this war intact without direct military intervention from other countries, let alone reclaim the territory that Russia has already seized

I was going to say that I am afraid we are heading for a significant Russian breakthrough on the front sometime this year unless other countries directly intervene. There have been rumors floating around of a massive Russian offensive being planned for late spring or early summer once the conditions on the ground are suitable for such operations
Wars have this way of seeming to stay static until one second in which they can change in the blink of an eye. Actually this war is not even currently static because those paying attention will know that the Russians have been making gradual if small gains ever since the failure of Ukraine counter offensive and those gains have been increasing lately. What we are seeing right now is the attritional wearing down of the army in preparation for the main Russian offensive which I expect in the next few months

It has grown on me a lot but I still don't think it comes anything close to Future Nostalgia, Houdini and Falling Forever are my favorites
It was a fun listen and I see the summer vibe she was going for but I just can't see myself returning to this often
