Honestly, it was really nice to get as a Lana track and I have to admit I bopped to it on a daily basis when it first came out, but now that I've heard it quite a bit, I think the hype has worn down a lot for me. The lyrics and melodies are nothing groundbreaking or that innovative, its a typical Lana song full of her usual clichés and themes. As much as I love these types of songs (because let's be real, I love every Lana song), I don't think that going in that direction would be a good decision. It's really generic and I feel like we've heard a million of these kinds of songs, not specifically in Lana's musicology but just more so from all those generic pop singers.

Even if she was scheduled for Ellen next year, let's be real, she'd 100% cancel the day before providing no explanation -
I know this video is a couple of months old but if anyone here can speak Albanian, I'd love if you could try and translate this for us.

So glad she's back at it again. I'm really hoping she's gonna deliver some delicious bops. Also, do you people think it will be a full album or an EP this time around? I know she has talked about potentially making EPs in the future, so I'm wondering whether she'll follow that through or not.

Made a simple lyric video for "Million Reasons". Let me know what you think! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbDq19sXfNw&feature=youtu.be Personally I have fallen in love with this song, I'm glad Gaga took a different direction with this album!

to be fair, I hadn't watched the live video when I wrote that comment. I thought she had premiered every single song on the standard version

It's definitely a good song, and I suspect it'll be a grower, but honestly, it's not one of those songs that I can see myself repeating over and over. I've listened to it about 10 times and I'm already kind of bored of it tbh :/

Thank you for your response. After pondering upon my question, I decided to sync my CD to my laptop and I had a listen to the tracks that way, and the CD rip was much more like the audio used in the video. I was shocked, because the mixing sounded so different. It must have just been my iTunes version that was mixed differently. Interesting. I definitely enjoyed how both Grimes and Hana were involved in the project. I have to say, I will have to listen to Hana some more. I had listened to her EP a few times but then never really returned to it - I think I just forgot amidst all this new music that I've been discovering lately, but after this video, I will certainly have to go back and re-listen to the tracks. The "Underwater" video was brilliant.

wait so Million Reasons is actually the studio version???????????? lmao here I was thinking it was an acoustic live performance version
-
All of the videos were AMAZING (the only one that was kinda meh was Scream but that's probably because I don't really like that song anyway). Such a nice surprise to see these videos - must have taken FOREVER to put together, I don't think y'all realize how long it actually takes to put together a video that long! Btw, PLEASE answer me - was the production in "Butterfly" slightly different?? For some reason it sounded more HQ sounding and like better mixed than my version on my computer and my CD sound... Please tell me I'm not the only one thinking that!!
-
wait, so these are just acoustic live performances?? kinda annoying imo that she'd premiere them like this, then make us wait ages for the full album, like??

Eliminate: The Blackest Day

I am disturbed by the fact that none of the album's best songs even stayed into this round. What in the world were y'all thinking? lmao\ Where are Honeymoon, Music To Watch Boys To, Terrence Loves You, Salvatore?? like everybody these are the best songs?? Anyway, I eliminate Freak. Cannot believe that messy track made it this far over all those over eliminated masterpieces

Lana Del Rey Spotted on November 24th [Unknown Year]
delreyfreak replied to Party Party's topic in Sightings
these are super cute. looks like during the UV era at some point? -
If someone could tell me where the instrumental/production is different on the promo CD please let me know, because I cannot hear any differences at all on any of the songs. The only thing was that the guitar sounded heavier, like there was more bass on Bubblegum Bitch, but apart from that, everything sounded the same to me, lol

LANALYSIS: Relating Songs To Known/Assumed Relationships
delreyfreak replied to Sitar's topic in Lana Thoughts
Expanding on from this, there is also: "Your hot, hot weather in the summer" in Shades of Cool and "Beatboxing and rapping in the summer rain" and "The summer's white and I've been waiting for you" in Salvatore, so it doesn't sound too far off that there could be a connection.
