I agree that after UV (her best album) repeating BTD would be a wrong move from her. But how interesting is that she never did drugs as far as I know (besides that alleged alcohol problem). She never dated really fucked up men (when I see Barrie I always chuckle when I remember that he was described by her as an dark character). Carozzini is, at worst, a womanizer who takes her out to idyllic beach strolls. I wouldn't be surprised that she changes her fantasy and she will write harmless romantic songs with a little bit of mind fucking (the noir stuff).

Honeymoon is a pretty good title actually. It strikes a really sweet and happy impression at first, but it has a somewhat dark undertone if you think about something (a relationship etc) being described as in its "honeymoon phase"--it's something fleeting, with no clear promise of long-term happiness. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but I can imagine that's how Lana might feel entering this new relationship and perspective after how dark the previous phase of her life has been, what with Barrie and the fame struggles.

I feel like she tried to hint at this (and the end of the UV era) with the Ultraviolence video with lonely bride carrying the funeral flowers. Now the Honeymoon era begins.

Dan Auerbach introduced me to Mark Ronson in a club. We just clicked and danced together all night. I showed him some of my music and we decided to work together. Mark brought the water back into my life.

I really hope she was referring to the cinematic sound of the Born to Die album and not the hip-hop/trip-hop/pop production. It was cute (and largely responsible for her huge fan base) but I just don't find that interesting anymore. I think she sounds better with the alt sound, so hopefully she sticks with the whole Orchestral/Grunge/Jazz fusion, minus the drowning reverb.
 
Also it would be nice to hear something lyrically different, but the Honeymoon title suggests it will have her recurring themes. I wish she would return to the bizarre surreal druggy imagery she had in her earlier demos/songs. There was something so mysterious and otherworldly about them, even though they were about men, and they made no sense, there was still something so captivating about how she strung all those words together and made this world that was so fitting for her.
 
Anyway, I think that Honeymoon is a lovely title. Has this been included in some of her fake/rumored tracklists? Excited to hear she's doing another jazz cover. The Other Women had potential and the horns were wonderful, but her timing was off and it just didn't sound as great as it could have been. I still listen to it though, but hopefully this one is an improvement.

I can definitely see this album being a mix of BTD and songs like 'golden gangsta' , 'Hawaiian tropic' and 'every man gets his wish' with jazzy (hopefully lizzy grant like) sounds !

I'm ready for Born To Die to the second power.

Good.  I like BTD better and maybe we'll see some of those backcatalog tracks resurface.  There's a lot of unreleased stuff that feels very noirish.
 
 
I hope we get something a bit more poppy like BTD over Paradise.  I can appreciate Paradise and these recent soundtrack songs but I don't really listen to them much at all.

Don't want a BTD 2.0. That would be ridiculous and personally I don't think she'd go there. 
 
When I first heard about Honeymoon earlier today, I immediately thought about how she changed her Insta-pic to Lizzy and Chuck posted a Lizzy pic too. I thought of Surf Noir Lizzy Grant in a cheap hotel on the Las Vegas Strip with her heroin fiend boyfriend. Lana's a little twisted, and her idea of a Honeymoon came to my mind as a drug-filled fuck fest...

I think she takes one similarity and blows it out of proportion. She said she wanted the album to be orchestral, but Honeymoon's orchestral will sound different from Born to Die's or Paradise's.

How can an album produced by Mark Ronson be anything like Born To Die and Paradise?

I just realized she said she was developing her lyrics with inspiration from Ryden, Fellini, and Picasso. Can you just imagine the surrealist imagery? Not just in terms of lyrics, but videos, photoshoots, etc. Maybe I'm reading too into it, but now I really got myself excited.

Wow, apparently she's been busy! I can't believe she's already getting ready for another album! I'm a little sad that she didn't do much with Ultraviolence. I feel like we hardly even got to hear her play the songs live. I hope she doesn't ignore them during upcoming tours. It was too good of an album to just forget about.
 
But I am super excited for new music from her!

Am I the only person who knew that "Music To Watch Boys To" was never going to be the title? I don't think she would ever have that long of an album title.

I think that Honeymoon is an amazing title and I can't believe i've never fantasized about this being a title before   . I can only imagine what the cover shot is going to look like. 

Another thing that I like about the title Honeymoon is that she definitely is going to give us a "dark honeymoon" feel with the sound, especially if she has been working with Mark Ronson. Amy Winehouse meets Lana Del Rey is too good to be true in my mind.
