I literally screamed when I just watched the trailer and my boyfriend yelled from half way across the apartment ARE YOU OKAY??? and I couldn't even say anything to let him know I wasn't dying. Because I was.  I didn't even know I wanted this, but this is exactly what I want from Lana. Like someone said, Political Space Witch, she put a damn spell on me. 

Not sure if anyone's mentioned this, and I missed it the first time I watched the album trailer, but when the camera pans to Mt. Rushmore, it's all cracked to the point where Abraham Lincoln's face resembles a skull. Obviously having Mt. Rushmore (with the heads of past great presidents) cracked and somewhat destroyed is symbolic in it itself, but Lincoln's face being somewhat skull-like really got my imagination going.

In 1932, Peg Entwistle, an actress, jumped from the H of the hollywood sign to her death. She's known to haunt the sign and her ghost has been spotted before.

GODDESS. This is everything I wanted and needed. My doubts are gone. Twilight Zone, witchiness, weird science, an image of the statue of liberty going out??? YES. It's all there. I will doubt no longer.

This trailer is better than everything we got since Tropico, TBH. Also, Lana seems so talkative, outgoing and just... happy in it. I'm so excited for the album.
Also, I lowkey want the album title to be written in her cute handwriting.

THE TRAILER. SHE LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. SHE'S ACTING WEIRD AND WITCHY. THE BACKING TRACK OHHHH MY GOD. HER LOVELY VOICE. & SHE'S WEARING THE SAME BOW AS SHE IS IN ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE CANDID LOOKS. I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS HAUNTING ERA.

 
The video reminds me a lot of The Haunted Mansion or Tower of Terror rides at Disney World. Also, my roommate watched the video and said "Awh. She is everybody's mom."

Fucking AMAZING. Such a cross between bewitched and the Twilight Zone. So concept driven. So humourous. I didn't really know she had this in her. She's so full of surprises and i'm SO excited for this album. #BLESSED She outdid herself. Can't wait to see what's next from this LEGEND.

Honestly no shade to chuck but I hope that the album cover it's the look from the trailer or at least close to it, because I'm in love with this B&W wicth like theme. I don't want the turquoise sweater shoot on the same location of HBTB

March 29 - Lana has released the trailer for her new album "Lust For Life" marking a new chapter in the book of the Pre-Release time period.

"You know, in this town, an artist really needs a lot of space when they’re trying to create something special. A place to cultivate a world of their own, far away from the real world that’s around them. Luckily for me, I live right inside the middle of the “H” of the Hollywood sign, and this is how I spend most of my nights: perched high above the chaos that swirls within the city of angels below. Now don’t get me wrong, I love to dip my toe into the muck and the mires of the city every now and then. Especially on Tuesdays. But truthfully, when I’m in the middle of making a record, especially now when the world is in the middle of such a tumultuous period, I find I really need to take the space for myself far away from real life, to consider what my contribution to the world should be in these dark times. So each morning, I have the luxury of asking myself, 'What shall I cook up for the kids today? Something with a little spice? Something with a little bitterness but is ultimately sweet? Or shall I take the day off and turn down the fire, and just take a moment to send my love to them over the ether?' Because sometimes, just being pure of heart and having good intentions and letting them be known is the most worthy contribution an artist can make. So, even though these times can feel a little bit crazy, they’re not so very different from what other generations have experienced at one time or another before. Amidst all the uncertainty, and as we transition out of one era into another one, there’s no place I’d rather be than smack-dab in the middle of Holly-weird making this record for you.
