I hate y'all. Not that this is your fault. I hate myself. Why can't we leave her the fuck alone?

It's sad that people like Lana who just wanna make good music get this kind of crap in their life

This is actually incredibly upsetting. If they knew anything about Lana, they'd know that this type of attention is the farthest thing she'd want and I don't even know how they could call themselves fans with such disrespectful actions. I hope this restraining order will calm things down a bit, but I also hope that Lana feels safe sometime soon.

Honestly if she she turns paranoid and doesn't want fan interaction anymore I won't blame her.

I remember when she played here in Brazil how crazy some fans were, serious it was like she was a cult leader or something.

I don't think a lot of people understand that if the fans fuck up, Lana will stop touring forever. She will do what the fuck she wants to and won't let anyone tell her otherwise so one of these days she's going to snap and everyone's going to be calling her a bitch for it

it's not the first time nor the second time in this short period of time. I'm really shocked at how crazy these fans are.

i mean if you're really obsessed with her. BUY HER ALBUMS! Support her in a healthy way!

Stalking her or harassing her in any way is NOT acceptable.

and don't you dare to sabotage our Parklife Fest.

I'm really scared for dear Lana. She doesn't deserve this, always so kind and down to earth with the fans. You love Lana, you leave her the fuck alone!
I have an obsessive personality but I would never invade her privacy. When you feel you are too obsessed, seek help. Don't hurt the ones you claim to love.
Hope he keeps in jail, gets help and Lana is not depressed because of this.

i'm all for alt rock-lana! gimme those emotive power vocals & sexy, wailing guitars. i love when she belts it out. something dramatic and grungy, less restrained. i love angry lana.

i also am dying for more upbeat piano-pop lana, a la "breaking my heart." anything upbeat at this point would be a relief.

or...something with eclectic, descriptive lyrics and lush atmospheres. it doesn't have to be autobiographical. lana has a fantastic imagination & i want to hear all about her daydreams and visions. less romance.

hell, give me anything like "wayamaya" & i'd die--something surf rock inspired. "is it wrong?" could also go under this.

the amazing thing about lana, the reason we're even having this discussion, is that she could do any of what we have suggested if she wants to. i'm excited for what's to come because we really have no idea.

Something moody and dark, but maybe this time around she can incorporate folk, or like, "sad girl country" if that makes sense. Binging out her inner lil ol' cowgirl. Think the beginning of Wait for Life where it sounds like the introduction to a western flic or something.

on the topic of bjork, I feel like something akin to her recent album vulnicura, would blend well with lana's sonic aesthetic. Something modern but classical. (also I would love it if Lana worked with Arca [one of the producers of vulnicura], but that's just me.)
The thing I am curious about is if she should avoid writing LDR5 with Rick Nowels? I love them as a creative duo and I don't want to see their friendship or artistic partnership dissolve; but maybe it is time she works with some new co-writers in order to further experiment.

(black lake: neoclassical with abstract/altronica influences)

Vulnicura has an incredibly unique sound and definitely wouldn't fit anyone but Bjork herself, but I would DIE for Lana to work with Arca, it's something I'm dreaming of since last year! Lol Maybe not the typical hardcore Arca, but something dreamy but futuristic.

This makes me happy beyond belief, I can't thank you enough. (Also your signature is my thesis name )

I was thinking about it these days, it sounds cheesy as hell but like, I've been stanning for a year which is nothing but I'm so into Lana herself, her face and her looks and her voice and her words and her entire universe, I'm sometimes forgetting that what fascinated me in the first place wasn't even the lyrics, it was the melodies, the quality of the melodies and how powerful and bold and packed with emotional power they are, it's Lana's biggest strength in my opinion and I relate so much to the way she puts herself in them. Lana's music is incredible, and I sincerely enjoyed the beginning of HM era supremely, not just because it was my first and because of the mindstate I was in at the time and because I met her and she was the first girl I ever kissed and I'll never get over it, but because this music is excellent. I'm not a music critic at all and I'll never pretend I can be but the songs from Honeymoon just lifts the best in me and makes it flow and it's a gift few things can give me. I'm so grateful for all the songs we have. Even when the day come and I won't be interested in Lana's person itself, I know I will still listen to the music, because even if you remove the lyrical content, it's just too broad and too deep and beautiful not to be listened to, stuff like Sirens that took me a solid 6 months of continuous and intensive stanning to appreciate is the now stellar light in my bad days because it just, looks like me. And all the pop songs make me happy to a level that I never reached before, where music used to be a relief for me Lana is making it a strength in my mind and it's just precious, no need to go over it for hours, her music is my life and I can't put that aside.

And on top of this, one year after out of curiosity falling desperately in love in a few days, I'm realizing how much she taught me, I never knew I would be so interested in white trash and old Hollywood glamour and stuff like that, her whole universe, jazz and all, I read several books just because she did and watched several movies just because she did and it's basic stan stuff but it's GOOD, you know, it's not morally bad to be obsessed with a celebrity in this particular way, I've learned A LOT and it inspired me in a completely Lana-detached way. The music I'm listening to right now is essentially her, my old favs CocoRosie, and stuff that I discovered because of Lana, because she was the first person that I listened to that had NOTHING to do with what I used to listen. She taught me that it was stupid to have a priori about pop culture and stuff around it and it's confirmed every day with this forum because as much as contrary to the good sis I really hate drama, there are so many passionate and talented people here that reminds me of Lizzy's raging passion and it inspires me to my deepest depths.

Tl; dr Sorry I'm finally getting out of depression after 4 months and I just feel so ecstatic all the time. Merry Christmas folks may all your dreams come true

Edit: I got so into this that I completely forgot but funny enough, while relistening the album yesterday (I have yet to listen to it in full and order), I found that Freak revealed itself to be excellent and very atmospheric when in good quality, like immersive, I don't know if it's the good word, but it's weird because I was 1000% sure it would be my least fav. 24 is probably my least favourite track, not that I hate it, I just never listens to it it kind of bores me

i'd love to see her do something more sexual and intimate, with minimalistic put progressive beats, something like bjork's vespertine

or something heavy, extreme and angry. i want noir(song) like lyrics and angry singing yass

Now that closing the album with a cover seems to be a new Lana tradition, is it possible that she'd cover Joni Mitchell for the next one ? She's always showed her love for Joni and the video she posted on Instagram got me thinking it's actually possible, especially "Both Sides Now" : she seems to be in a good place in her life to sing this song, and it fits the "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" theme

I also want her to, idk, take the good things from the previous records and try to mix it with the jazz/rock sounds she has in her live shows with the band. Also I wish she'd be more adventurous with her songwriting, like she used to, even though on HM I think she's slowly shifting her lyrical content and gimmicks in a good way
