i’m so confused now because one of the guys in the band that recorded during the Dan sessions said they did 13 songs in 2 weeks, I thought that meant

1. Cruel World

2. Ultraviolence

3. Shades of Cool

4. Brooklyn Baby

5. West Coast

6. Sad Girl

7. Fucked My Way Up to the Top

8. The Other Woman

9. Florida Kilos

10. Money Power Glory Auerbach version

11. Fine China Auerbach version

12. Yes to Heaven Auerbach version

13. I Talk to Jesus Auerbach version

does this mean there are 3 other Dan songs we don’t know about oh brother

I'm not sure about YTH, but Fine China went as far as being mixed by Rob Orton and it's a Rick Nowels version. Same with Your Girl

But as soon as she came back to work on Honeymoon the first person to touch SYTH again was Rick so you could say the last version of YTH for UV was Rick's (per leaked files though - James Ford version is the latest, from April 2014 I think)

What you are missing is the fact that Dan did demos of Pretty When You Cry and Guns & Roses as well, they just never leaked

Btw I remember Lana once mentioned a specific number of songs she did with Dan Auerbach (and it was, of course, a larger number than what was released), but I’ve never been able to find the interview again. It was sometime around UV’s release obv and I believe it was radio, but I could be wrong about that.

 

I recall the number being 12 or 14 but I could be wrong about that also

Does @BlackoutZone knows why Lana released this version of West Coast first, but ended up putting this other mix on the album and also used it for the music video? I've been curious about this since 2014. Thought I'd ask since you're here.
