Obviously, we all have somewhat of a good taste in music considering the fact that we’re currently on a Lana Del Rey forum, but do you ever see someone who simply encompasses good taste? They listen to all the right songs, give the best descriptions, their ratings somehow always match your own? You finally have an opportunity to recognize that one member who has the Best Taste on LanaBoards!

Worst Taste
Now when we have members with good taste, we have to have members with bad taste. Do they listen to Rico Nasty? Perhaps dabble in SOPHIE? Or maybe they’ve been caught scrobbling May Jailer tracks on last.fm? Well whatever the case, you finally have an opportunity to expose that one member who has the Worst Taste on LanaBoards!

Our favorite category here on LanaBoards, home of the thirsty gays! Let us throne the deserving lad who has delivered when others haven’t! Perhaps they posted an Ultraviolence demo, or maybe a bad acapella demo from 2008, or even the 384th Timothy Saccenti photo? Let us celebrate!

Attention Whore

Let’s give these attention deficit members some of what they crave! There’s no hiding it, we definitely know which members on here deserve this title. The ones that won’t hesitate to act a fool in the name of a like or two!

We have this member in a special place in all of our hearts. They never bother to say anything mean nor rude to any of us and spread love and positivity through their posts! They take everyone’s opinions and won’t argue with those who don’t take theirs.

Rudest Member

We know this member has a special place in the garbage. They always go out of their way to say anything mean and rude to anyone who crosses their path and spreads hatred and negativity through their posts! They take everyone’s opinions to heart and argue non-stop with those who think differently than them.

I’ll also use this to mention that the “Sassiest Member” award has been discontinued and combined to this!

Drama Queen

I’ll have to tread carefully here, I definitely don’t want to cause a scene... I would hate to upset the Drama Queens of LB! Those members that are rather... sensitive. Whether it be a long rant on someone telling them correct information or maybe it’s a LanaBoards emoji that triggers them... we have to be careful with these users!

I’ll also use this to mention that the “Most Triggered” award has been discontinued and combined to this!

Veteran Member

We have to respect our elders, so this is the category to do that. Nominate the users who have been here since the beginning! The ones who were in the front row of Lana’s SNL performance, who were the firsts to witness the awful TROPICO makeup!

Now, we must honor the babies of our boards. Our new members have changed the landscape of LanaBoards immensely and it definitely feels more lively than it once did. The more the merrier!

2018 was a year of realizations and with those realizations, we had to lose some iconic members. They may not be present to accept the award (or they might just use their dupe account!), but we’ll just honor them posthumously.

Biggest Stan

We’re all Lana stans and we all love her the same! But there’s always room for more... some members might express their stanning by scouring through old Lake Placid newspapers to find a 2 pixel photo of Lana’s 1st doctor appointment or something less suggestive like sending her love letters in the mail! We’re not one to judge.

Biggest Lana Hater

This may be LanaBoards but don’t deny the fact that there are some questionable members here. Once upon a time, they were fans, but through the years they have just lost their love. Their days comprise of trashing what she releases, leaking stuff that causes her to entirely change an album, or going by the name of Bekim.

Hybrid Fan

Over the years, this forum has gained an increasing amount of users and threads and not all of these threads have pertained to Lana, which brings a community of users here solely for the entertainment section. This category is for them, someone please notify since I doubt they will look here!

Status Updater

I was originally going to remove this category but was advised not to, so hello! Here it is, back again. Is there anyone who’s statuses are always what you look forward to when coming on here? I understand it was a slow year for status updates but why not.

Melania Trump

The award for creativity and originality. Probably not the best person for this category to be named after, but we love Melania anyways! Give kudos to the member who always has the best ideas, artwork, etc.

Can You Come Up With Something Else?

[NEW] The award for someone who has absolutely nothing original nor creative about them. A band wagoner, if you will. Someone will say that their favorite Lana song is Cherry because their grandma always made them cherry pie when they were young and suddenly that user also has a grandma that did that, get the gist?

Ah, my favorite category! Time for the yearly run through of the Pictures of You thread to find the hottest LB members! Don’t worry about the category name, mommies are accepted here too of course! Nominate any member you find cute, hot, gorgeous, etc.

Delete It, Fat

The award for most annoying member on here! Whenever they post in a thread, you just have to physically force yourself to check it to see what dumb thing they’ve said this time! Don’t be offended by the name! It’s just a joke, obviously!! Totally...

Peace Keeper

Our resident peace keepers make LanaBoards a somewhat tolerable place to be. They keep the madness to a certain degree and know how to calm down the most erratic members. They need all the thanks that we have to offer for doing a job that most wouldn’t.

Our problematic members bring a little bit of fun to this site as we watch them dig themselves in holes way too deep to ever come out of! That’s okay, we hold them dearly in our hearts, well some of them... actually like one of them at most.

> Graphic Design: Do you know a Lipster who can pull stuff as good as all the single covers done by Chuck Grant for the Norman Fucking Rockwell era? Well, if so do not consider them for this category. This award is given to the Lipster whose design talents compare to those of Norman Rockwell himself. Keep in mind hand drawn art is also eligible for this category.

> Audio Editing: LanaBoards is known for its big indie music community. Like Lana, many talented members explore the field of music and create their own unique tracks. Even when they may get some negative REACTions, they still believe in their own work. It’s time to let them know that you love their Hangin-Around-like music!

> Video Editing: Lana herself got her start at YouTube by editing videos on her laptop to create fully realized visuals. This has inspired many fans to do the same. It’s time to recognize them!

Christina Lucci Award

Legend says there was a time when LanaBoards was ruled by the progressive, LGBT-friendly porn star Christina Lucci. Those days are long gone, but we still honor her memory handing out this special award for the Sluttiest Member. A beloved staple category of the Lipster Awards. This one goes to the sluttiest member of the year, however you may interpret that. Have fun with it.

VIP Qaadir: Vanguard Award For Legends

This will not be an open category. This award and its nominees will be decided and hand-picked by our very exclusive and elite committee. We want to award those members who are known by everyone, who are on everyone's mouth and whose relevancy makes lots jealous. Not to be confused with Lipster of the Year, this award is for all those relevant users whose popularity doesn't mean they ARE the user of the year, but still pretty successful on their own. Committee members have chosen to remain anonymous.

Thread of The Year
[NEW] Beginning the biggest categories, I think we all know which thread is going to win this but it’s going to be fun to nominate other ones too! There have been many that were absolutely infested with drama, specifically one by an artist who is not Lana and may or may not have had her one big hit in a cringy indie movie... Okay? Okay. Anyways, I’m excited to see the nominations for this category!

Drama of The Year
Moving from threads to specific dramas, feel free to nominate anything you’d consider big and eventful that happened on this site. Which might be hard since these things happen so often, but try to narrow it down. In a site full of hormonal teenage pop music stans, drama comes naturally, so let’s appreciate that fact and make a night out of it!

Audio Leak of The Year

Another one of everyone’s favorite category! This year was filled to the brim with new and exciting instrumentals, sort of different demos, snippets... well okay maybe not that exciting but at least we got L Del Ray’s best song Hey You (which better win).

Photo Leak of The Year

Title is very explanatory. Just abstain from nominating anything taken by Chuck Grant, or you’ll automatically be nominated for Worst Taste.

Clowns of The Year
[NEW] We needed a good counterpart to Lipster of The Year. These awards shouldn’t be looked down upon! You worked hard to earn this title, and we should honor you for it.

And finally... the most important award of the night... LIPSTER OF THE YEAR. This award goes to the LB member who shone brighter than everyone else this year! This award doesn’t go to just anyone, you have to establish a name for yourself and work hard at maintaining it. Someone that we feel is perfect enough to represent our website and brandish the cherished title (until 2019 awards at least).
