TEMPORARY Chemtrails Over the Country Club - Pre-Release Thread: OUT March 19th, 2021

Recommended Posts

Okay. This album should have been an EP called White Hot Forever ,

or worst case scenario Norman F* Rockwell - Wanderlust edition (  Born To Die Paradise Edition situation ).

It would work so much better like that .

CD 1 NFR

CD 2 Wanderlust with a track list like this :

1)White Hot Forever

2)Wanderlust

3)Yosemite

4)White Dress

5) Wild At Heart

6) Dark But Just A Game

That way we save Chemtrails Over The Country Club for another album with a more solid concept

Spoiler

I actually agree, and it should've been released in September as a digital EP. Though I would replace Wild At Heart with COCC.

Hmmm or even include them both at the end of the day. Yes September Or even early 2020 with the pandemic beginning . And the album cover would be neil krug's photo. That way it would be perfect.

If i see another "COCC as an EP" or "COCC as a NFR re-release" tracklist

You're all wrong

objectively

Don't ignore the fact that it's the first album that sounds like the previous one in Lana's Career.

Not a good idea. The physical copies would count on week 2 only, while the first week of streaming would count on week 1. And we know she sells a lot of physical copies. Dua doesn’t seem to sell as much CDs and vinyls as Lana.

Now that’s a chocker. I never thought we could do that.

ok but what if they just rushed the physicals out for this friday?

The thing with NFR compared to COCC is that NFR feels kinda emotionless in some parts while COCC feels more intimate

Spoiler

Agreed. In a previous post I explained how I think NFR gives me summer coolness (beach, water, waves) whereas COTCC gives me summer warmness (sunsets, the heat, nighttime campfires). The warmness feels more intimate.

I don’t think this album sounds like NFR at all rly... maybe LFA. But I think objectively it’s a folk record first and foremost.

I personally think that COTCC sounds nothing like NFR. I would argue that it is closer to LFL, in some parts to AKA. But NFR?

Spoiler

Maybe the sample in Wild at heart and Tulsa Jesus Freak has a bit of Cinnamon Girl's vibe, and that's it.
