No offence to any of her fans but comparing Taylor to Lana is laughable really. Lana at the moment is on a different level and this album blows anything Swift has done out of the water.

I do agree, however it seems like Folklore (which is a fantastic album by the way, as much as I dislike Taylor Swift) kinda put Taylor in the "sad girl" gang too, which is obviously 100% associated with LDR. Actually many Taylor fans became Lana fans after NFR!/Folklore, and many Lana stans became Taylor fans with that album too.ç

Obviously Lana is 1,000,000 times better, and so is her music.

from the way some members act on LB, the album release frenzy might put a bit too much pressure on them ig :sideeye:

I can't believe we're only 6 days away. I won't listen to any of the singles from now on, I'm so so excited. My expectations with Lana are never low or high-- it is usually a feeling of deep excitement and happiness, like a friend I love is coming to see me or something. I'm prepared for whatever this album brings into my life. :crai:

I am mostly pointing out the instrumental similarities, which didnt occur before even though Lana has been working with Antonoff for a while now.

tbh i don’t really think that taylor has any impact on lana’s music at all but each to their own — idk if that’s what you’re insinuating anyways 🫶

I love the album and TT x VB sm, but why did she think ending the album with a recycled song would be a good idea

i think the remix shouldve been it’s own standalone thing, and then taco truck it’s own song

both talented women in different ways, let’s not do this

I have not denied anyone's talent but to me Lana is simply a much much better singer and songwriter. This album only reinforces my opinion.

In the meantime, Jon Batiste Interlude might be a top 5 track to me :true:

And here are my thoughts on Judah Smith Interlude:

  Hide contents

Judah Smith Interlude will always be relevant because it’s connected to A&W. Judah’s sermon is about lust and cheating on your partner and letting that distract you from stability and comfort with yourself and your loved ones. This interlude right after A&W validates Lana’s experience of being the other woman (as she depicted in A&W) as something wrong that brings suffering to everyone involved. I don’t know what Candy Necklace will be or sound like right after that interlude but maybe it’s connected solely to Jon Batiste Interlude (since Jon co-wrote both tracks).

Ha! Got it! Thank you!!!!

I don't like these interludes but when the album drops and if I decide to listen to the full album later, I won't skip them.

Realistically though, they're like 7 or 8 minutes together and I'd rather have another song instead. Maybe that elusive screamer outtake since I love Dealer

I'm a sucker for cinematic songs.

Oh f*ck. Is it really simmilar to those songs?

Some of the best songs ever made if you ask me. This comparison just makes my excitement grow, damn
