Me and you and Vivienne are wonderin'
If this reunion of the class of '85
Is the last we'll be alive with one another
Listening to B'52s and ponderin'
Will regeneration of organs be seen in our lifetime?

I want to live forever in bliss and give together

Will we find ourselves apart in death?
Only God knows
That my heart belongs to you
It belongs to you
Will we find ourselves apart in death?
Only God knows
That my heart belongs to you

Me and you and Vivienne are old fashion
About romance and how we dance
We do the tango
We reminisce about first kiss and heroin
And did we waste most of our lives
Or was it time well spent?

I want to live forever in bliss and give together

Will we find ourselves apart in death?
Only God knows
That my heart belongs to you
It belongs to you
Will we find ourselves apart in death?
Only God knows
That my heart belongs to you
It belongs to you

You say if you go before me
You'll be waiting
For your lady of the night
Who never was afraid of nothing
Was she, baby?

I want to live forever in bliss and give together

Don't wanna find ourselves apart in death
Only God knows
That my heart belongs to you
It belongs to you
Don't wanna find ourselves apart in death
Left only with the dark
I belong to you
I belong to you

That was my first thought too!

I love hearing echoes of Lana's past lyrics crop up in her newest songs. Seeing the thoughts that have followed her throughout her life, like a connecting thread of consciousness, is really special :wubna:

Thinking about this mysterious baddie today..... we didn't even know it existed and it's kinda randomly one of the best written songs from this era; it's like a sophisticated older sister to Pin Up Galore :oprah3: my personal theory about the lyrics is that "Class of 85" is possibly referring to her birthyear? but then i wonder who Vivienne/Vivian is supposed to be :puzzled:

It's so strange that we have a rehearsal audio and know nothing else about it, like no demos, eerie laptop recordings or studio vers :puzzled:

considering we have a piece of paper with the lyrics, i wonder if perhaps it was written while she was recording these rehearsal sessions? or maybe this is from one of her personal notebooks? it's odd, really (a laptop demo of vivienne sounds absolutely wonderful :trisha:)

I wonder when this was actually written. Ik the versionbwe have is from 2009 but that same session also included raise me up for some reason.

I could totally see this being written in like 2007/2008 but never being recorded until 2009 or having some voice memo somewhere. Honeymoun mentioned that there was something really interesting left from the lizzy era I wonder if it could be that.

I wonder if this song was ever like actually finished or if we will ever hear a version with out all the studio chatter

The fear in her voice... She just wanted to survive

Come to think of it....

Lizzy went missing only five months after it was recorded.

Beyonce was sighted leaving the Canal Room on October 22nd 2009 ig she was dealt with

when I first saw this songs title my brain thought it was about a girl named Vivienne who was 'run-through' ,,, probably would've been a better song than the actual version....
