Tomorrow (1/14) is the 13 year anniversary of her SNL performance which is the perfect time to drop the song Has Anyone Else Died For You

she’s not planning to release anything while the LA wildfires are still happening. Since she lives there, it makes sense she wants to focus on what’s going on around her. Hang tight—it’ll come when the time feels right

Walden has been in the trenches and gets it. I’m still not convinced it’s the final album title. 

Who knows? She may be inspired by the catastrophic LA fires to change direction and plans again, as she did about a year ago with the earlier formulation of Lasso. And the fires aren't over--Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, and even the San Fernando Valley may burn before this ends. 
 
As the Pitchfork writer mentioned, she never released White Hot Forever and Rock Candy Sweet, though we probably know them in different forms as COCC and BB.

Idk if this has been said before, but I’ve always thought the name of this poem was not only about fires in LA, but also the camp fire that happened in November 2018. Maybe the name is just a coincidence, but it destroyed almost the entire town of Paradise in Northern California. It was the most deadly and destructive California fire at the time. The 2025 LA fires are now the most destructive, hopefully not more deadly.

Neil has worked with her every era since Ultraviolence except for NFR. So there's a very high chance that he has shot promotional photos for the new era.

If this album is a bit of a reset on her persona / totally new direction after the last 3 records then I hope she works with someone new on the album artwork. She’s reinvented herself numerous times through her career: from Lizzie to cinematic sadcore Lana to west coast grunge rock and roller to Honeymoon’s lush old Hollywood jazz singer to 60’s hippie beginning to self reflect on her place in the world to deeply introspective poet who can’t get off her piano. I hope she puts effort into the visuals again even if (actually, especially if) TRPWS is an acoustic guitar, stripped down album. 

Her posts have been both thoughtful and artistic. Hope she stays safe.

The Santa Ana moves you...

i assume she went back to LA to prepare in case of evacuation. her studio city home is inbetween the palisades fire, eaton fire, and hurst fire. also the sunset fire but iirc it was extinguished. praying for LA
