Lasso - Pre-Pre-Release Thread

Asked ChatGPT to roast the song and it matches my sentiments to a tee:

“Violet for Roses” feels like Lana went full hallmark, but not in a heartfelt way — more like she tripped and fell into a garden of saccharine nonsense. The whole thing is so syrupy sweet you’d think she’s starring in her own rom-com, except she’s the only one who thinks it's romantic. It’s like she’s trying to say, “Look at me, I’m finally happy!” but with all the depth of a sugar packet. The lyrics seem convinced that swapping “violets for roses” is some big metaphor for her epic transformation, but all it really says is that Lana might’ve spent a little too much time around florists who think changing blooms is a personality shift.

I find that we have denigrated Jinn a lot, but in view of Lana's last statements it fits perfectly (the 5 at the end of the text can indicate as a surprise the marriage which took place about 5 weeks later) the last sentences do not make me thought of an insider but rather.... (I don't want to be ridiculous)

Well friends, that's all! Before the summer, there was a dispute with a producer and some songs were reportedly removed. I saw the list of songs being considered for release and "Henry" is not on it, unless it has a different name.  I understand your doubts and given the whole Trump/Election thing, most artists wouldn't release anything during this time because it might be ignored by the media, but I've also been told that Lana refuses to do politics as there has been a lot of controversy surrounding her and her stance on the war in the Middle East. So I understand why she wouldn't want to make a major release before Thanksgiving/Christmas. Anyway, I've told you what I know, and for the sake of all of us, I hope we get some music sooner rather than later. Thank you for all your comments, even those from the skeptics. I will never return to this site again. I hope you all live wonderful, meaningful lives and I hope you enjoy Lasso! ❤️ Surprise coming in 5  Love, Jinn

The "surprise coming in 5" was Jinn's surprise meaning "coming in 5 minutes" to tell about that she's releasing a perfume series in late October, well seems like it never happened :toofloppy:

I mean, I asked him what the worst LDR album was and he literally said BB. Case closed.

In matters of art, everyone must let their sensitivity speak (what is worst for you may be best for me and vice versa)

I think it was Popinsider on twitter who said back in the summer that Lana would be filming a music video in the fall. Could have been a lucky guess or maybe they have some sources. I just searched their tweets though and they’ve deleted anything mentioning Lana :dua:  I’m sure these shoots are booked months in advance to work with everyone’s schedule. Hollywood basically shuts down the week before Thanksgiving through the new year so maybe this is one last thing to check off before end of year.

I mean the stripped down sound of bb with the songs sounding good and catchy like chemtrails but make the lyrics meaningful would eat.

Edit: only one outtake tho

the more or less meaningless lyrics of bb (the song) were actually intended, because the song was largely inspired by ladies of the canyon by joni mitchell

Hi there! Now that it seems we might have to wait some more time for the record, let’s play with the concepts and track-list (once again:party:). Here’s my guess: :smokes:

One Hour Drive

Lasso

A House Through Time

Church Up in the Forest

Nocturne

Hey Blue Baby

Prettiest Girl in Country Music (feat. Nikki Lane)

Henry, Come On

Thelma & Louise (feat. Kacy Hill)

Idols and Heroes (feat. Dolly Parton and Joan Baez)

You’re Nothing Till Somebody Loves You

Ghosts of Rio Grande

Then, some of the covers she worked on for the American Standards and Classics would be released physically along the main album on a 7inch vinyl, consisting of «Stand by Your Man (feat Nikki Lane)», «If It Be Your Will», and of course, «Country Roads, Take Me Home». On the digital version, the Lasso album would have Lonely Shepherd as an Interlude as a transition to the aforementioned covers.:flutter:
