Lungs era was so hard to comprehend since she released from EP, to many versions of Lungs. And because of them releasing music before signing to a major label record to re-release the singles as well.

kiss with a fist was the lead followed by dog days ( which ended up being a sleeper hit ) THEN rabbit heart, but rabbit heart " took off " in the uk before dog days. 

 

dog days had two music videos and two releases, the second being the biggest

I always understood that lead single is not always the first single, but the major/biggest single. Although I may be wrong. But if that's true, Dog Days Are Over would be the lead.

I read somewhere said that Kiss With a Fist is only a promo single, Dog Days being the lead.

and btw, i always love "Dog Days" original video, i prefer that version more than the 2010 ver. The original literally screams "Florence" all the way.

it's considered their debut single and a lead but probably only because it charted in the uk. I count it as because of the way album rollouts used to be were an ep/debut single was meant as bait to justify a full length LP. Like droplet singles and eps weren't as common then as now. if you released an ep and it stuck, the whole thing was going to be on the album in some form.

I forgot that UK based artists also has to do an alternate album rollout once they go into US market, so it makes sense in this case
