So what? Just bc someone is pro-choice or a liberal/democrat doesn’t make them a good person. i’m not trying to ignore the elephant in the room at all, i’m trying to say that jeremy is not a reflection of lana’s political views. the things that man reposted on facebook are disappointing, but can we really attribute the things he thinks to lana’s thoughts? i’m trying to be objective here. not everything jeremy says or believes is immediately lana’s shared belief. that was my entire point. i understand it’s disappointing because lana is associating herself with him and he thinks that, but that doesn’t immediately mean lana thinks that way too. i mean, would that fit her character that we have observed for 12+ years now? i get and respect what you’re saying though, but i just have a different view of it

I appreciate your comments. But I do feel like transphobia has become so normalized today to the point that people “expect” republicans to be hateful. Imagine if he shared Pro-Nazi posts or posts insinuating Women of Color should be beaten to death for using the female bathroom. If he’s that open online with his hate I can only imagine what he says around Lana. I mean there is that video of his daughter calling someone the N word. I wonder who she learned that from.

I am part of the community and I do get it. I’m just saying that her politics aren’t his and people are complicated- I don’t think her marrying him is an endorsement of his beliefs. And Lana has always been a very contradictory person imo.

Thats kind of a red flag to me lol an adult woman shouldn't have to "do as she's told" by someone who should be equal to them but also this doesn't really sound like Lana to me. She's always been pretty rebellious, even though a lot of her partner's personality/music tastes rub off on her lol

But if this tarot reader is correct and she "does what he says" then it makes it more likely that his political views would influence her and her own views may change, if they haven't already

I think that she's a neoliberal Democrat which is basically a republican, but she's fundamentally a capitalist, a multimillionaire, and therefore disconnected from the plight of working people. That's fine. I'm not looking for her takes on the working class. I'm looking for her to tell her own story because I've been following her for a decade and I like her as a person. Lol

I just can’t help but feel a sense of disappointment, I never expected socialism, but it’s definitely a slight challenge for me to get over. Thankfully it doesn’t tarnish her music/artistic output and I do fully believe that she has “good intentions” in everything she does.
