I actually don't understand, why she didn't put the release date, or at least caption "Henry is coming next week". Is she trying to surprise us or something, I don't understand her strategy😭

Maybe she was supposed to write a caption but Instagram didn’t post it. It happens sometimes and my delusional ass wants to believe it…

 

I hope that’s the case or she’s teasing it more (maybe a new snippet with the music video?) with the actual date later or it’s a surprise release. 

 

If she drops it today local time then it’s coming in a few hours. Her releases are usually set for 8am California time but if she’s in Louisiana then maybe it’s coming earlier ?

i reckon there's more delays and nothing is ready, and the cover was just another "lemme give them something quickly to sustain them for another 3-4 months"

It's the tired 'tease the fanbase' strategy that some artists and managers obviously still think acceptable, when in fact it's exhausted and no longer works except for rapid stans (like us).

 

Lord Huron released a new song today--Nothing I Need--teased a short clip of it last week on IG saying it would be released today, followed up again Wednesday, again on Thursday (yesterday) and then again last night, and today the song dropped. Bang bang.

I don't agree about the greatness of his work elsewhere, but I certainly agree about the mediocrity of his work with Lana. Anyone can take a hazy photo of waves crashing over coastal rocks and colorize it. Praising his work with Lana would be like praising the photo art for VB or MAC, regardless of who the photographer was.

12 pm could be a possible time for the release too, but I think it's more likely next week, since almost everyone from her team reposted it🙏

A lot of artists that are releasing in May are announcing in these days. Just yesterday Kali Uchis announced her date: May 9th. 
Let’s hope Lana will announce something next week 🤞🏻

Henry on wednesday guys, lana doesnt drop her singles on fridays no more. The albums release is set for a wednesday drop and lana teased the single cover on a wednesday, a week before it drops. I still could be wrong maybe she wants to release it later but it makes sense, a week for promo and then it drops on wednesday. Squidward confirmed she doesnt drop on fridays aswell so even if its not this wednesday it will be one of them. Tough came on a wednesday but then all Quavos singles following after lana were dropped on fridays. So we should expect to hear from her soon and hopefully she drops on April 2nd.

This doesn’t make any sense, but I can see this being true. I can’t see what the issue is with her just telling us it’s delayed (or not). It’s not like we won’t wait for it if she does communicate, so there’s really no need to “sustain” us if she just says something to the effect like “look guys I want this album to be something special which means paying attention to every detail etc etc the album is delayed”. We won’t cause riots in the streets if she says its delayed (we might lose our will to live tho ).

I wonder if this photoshoot was fairly recent (as speculated from the IG stories); if it was and if it was also for the album artwork, then the album it’s not coming out in May (unless the shoot was only for the “Henry” single).

A lot of us--perhaps most of us--think rationally and logically, but between Lana's natural temperament, her idiosyncratic approach to album releases, and the looseness of her management's style, rationality and logic aren't things we can depend on or expect.

 

Rarely are things concerning her album releases clear, simple, and straight forward, Honeymoon and OB being the exceptions.

Ocean Blvd was released on Wednesday as well. A&W and The Grants were on Tuesday though.
