The official Blue Jeans remixes are mind-blowingly good, which blows MY mind because for some reason, I'm unimpressed with most Lana remixes, including SS. The one you posted is one of my faves along with the Gesaffeistein remix. These two are probably tied for my #1, both are amazing but give the track a totally different feel:

I think blue jeans is one of those songs that can be reworked, and reworked well, easily. What I dislike about the CG remix is that it kind of just bastardizes the song.

I've heard quite a few people think she's kinda selling out. For me it's kinda like she has lost the epicness. In songs from her earlier albums,  I would listen to them and be in COMPLETE BLISS AND AWE by how much was going on in the song,  her voice and instrumentals. I did not feel that in any LFL songs except perhaps the end half of Heroin.  It's lost something. Texture.  Depth. Haze. LFL sounds like it's full of demos. I really hate to say that

i totally agree. one of the few remixes that work with her songs imo, bc even though it's sped up it doesn't sound cheery/upbeat at all since he made it sound dark and dangerous. gesaffelstein is a genius tbh.

Whilst we're on the subject of remixes, I love Active Child's Ride so much. It's one of the few remixes that stays faithful to the original track yet adds something unique.

I don't know if she'll ever be able to top Ride. She's put out some amazing tracks since then, but that song just wows me every single time. The lyrics, her vocals, the production, the strings, the video, the monologue...everything about it is Lana at her best. 

 

Maybe with her recent show hairstyle she's trying to tell me "Don't worry baaaby, Ride Pt. II is coming"

Only some can get away with it,  and they tended to be the btd songs,  or lust for life.
