i'm pretty sure i remember a line in a lizzy grant song like "me and my ma we dont get along", but she also said something like "my mothers glamour lives on". She's also seen posing with her mom in a lot of photos. If i were to guess i'd just assume they simply aren't very close. theres a chance her mom is genuinely a bitch or something like that but not a whole ton of proof

I personally think it's pretty obvious that these are jibes. I'm not criticising her for them, because we don't know what happened, but it's apparent that all is not well between them.

They haven't been photographed together since like 2014 (though I could be wrong). But I agree, I feel like they just don't have that mother/daughter relationship. I don't feel like she genuinely hates her, but like you said, she just isn't that close to her and that's totally valid I think.
