Macintosh Manhattan 6,511 Posted November 9, 2016 Hopefully in four years time (Not even that fingers crossed) Michelle Obama will run to be democratic choice for President. ------ He's an idiot who - just like Bush - will let the adminstration run the government He has no experience what so ever. The fucktard is gonna get steamrolled and manipulated it to doing whatever his team wants him to do/say.
graham4anything 2,859 Posted November 9, 2016 someone asked- "How does one deal with this" Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. did not give up, it took decades. Then it took convincing the President to use all his capital (LBJ) on ramming it home and when the racists in the Democratic party (George Wallace and the Dixiecrats who later moved to the Republican party and created the Southern Strategy in place the last 40 years) weren't enough votes, LBJ worked with the moderates in the other party (Of course there are not many moderates in the Republican party remaining) but one starts working for 2018 midterms and 2020 and one doesn't give up. The fight begins now for the 2018 and 2020 Presidential and one should never even give a minute to the other side If the Democratic party is the party of all us who are different, we play to that base, not Trumps. and hope beyond hope that the 4 Supreme Court Justices who are to the left remain on the court the entire four years. It at least is a bit of a wall and to those in America that whined that she was not liberal enough, or not up to Bernie's standards, remember something- Bernie was the one who brought the word "rigged" into the election, and prior to Bernie, Hillary had a favorable rating of 70%. And where was Bernie's revolution??? Is Bernie happy today (sure, he got a new home for $600,000 and is releasing a new book this month that will go to#1 on the book charts United we stand, divided we fall. Fraction has now caused the Democratic party to lose the Presidency in 168, 1980, 2000 and now 2016. All four elections that were winnable to the Democratic party. . 2 Quote Lana is our modern day Edith Piaf. TRENCH 15,450 Posted November 9, 2016 At the end of the day, this is only a natural course for history, worry about your well being and you'll be fine. If we had 8 years of bush jr. we can survive 4 years of talking orange Does this mean that we should just settle? no, this means that we need to wake the fuck up and start taking politics seriously, not as a topic that is taboo for discussion just bc you'll get your feelings hurt. We can see that people are TIRED of the establishment and that is the only reason Trump won. People who didnt vote have no reason to complain. No action, no results ALSO, most libertarians are former republicans so if Gary wasn't on the ticket Trump would have gotten his votes anyways!!!!

graham4anything 2,859 Posted November 9, 2016 @ I disagree. The older white male lazy bums and the uneducated whites, who won't learn a new trade, when the internet has made their job obsolete is by norm, a Republican to start off with Trump will get rid of all regulations, hate to see automobiles made that have no regulations, there are enough recalls now as it stands. One can easily replace the voters in a few northern states, by concentrating on the core of the Democratic party in the entire south, winning the south, winning Texas and that is far more electoral votes than the states lost. Let the Republicans have those states. Go with all those who are not older white males, and it is an easy victory for the 270. and for all one knows, with the 3% victories, perhaps some nefarious hacking went on by Putin and Asshole-senge and the Russian hackers along with the rogue FBI, to have flipped a few states. So it might have been nothing at all. Bernie Sanders wouldn't have won, as he didn't care about Blacks, Gays, Hispanics, Jews, Women, at all. If he did, he wouldn't have ceded the south to Hillary like he did. So instead of kowtowing to the Republican or far left, go with the Congressional Black Caucus in the South, the women, the minorities and trade out a few. Demographic shift is happening, and it can't be stopped, and no wall can keep it from happening. Just might take a few years longer. If only people listened (as I did) to Jimmy Carter in 1980 and reelected him instead of Reagan, there would be no dependence on oil at all. 0 Quote Lana is our modern day Edith Piaf. TRENCH 15,450 Posted November 9, 2016 But why does the US have this électoral college bullshit and not direct voting like a lot of other countries? Our Forefathers didnt trust the general public for direct voting so they set they electoral up but what i find hilarious is that i tought Trump was going to win popular votes while Clinton would win presidency with the electoral college, thats what happened with obama in 2012...life has its surprises So people think rebelling by voting 3rd party will wake America up? ok well it did so much that now that it unbalanced the whole election, thats enough proof right there. Votes are used as polls as well to see who voted for who and why.

graham4anything 2,859 Posted November 9, 2016 @ Yup, Hillary won popular vote, 6 of 7 of the last elections including 2000 the Democratic candidate won popular vote, yet lost 2 of the elections. One day a popular vote, but the small states will resist it. But that means America did vote for Hillary (and that total should rise too). Julien and the hackers should release all the emails on him now, that would be ironic. So much for Julien being just for truth Wonder if President Obama will pardon Snowden, IMHO, President Obama personally thinks he did a good thing. I have a feeling Snowden is no friend of Julien's now. Trump surely won't pardon him. (and perhaps commuting Manning's sentence). A President's pardon/commuting of a sentence is non-reversible. 2 Quote Lana is our modern day Edith Piaf.
