My Sparrow Blue 689 Posted May 14, 2017 I was at Coachella / Leaning on your shoulder Watching your husband swing in time I guess I was in it / Cause baby for a minute It was woodstock in my mind In the next morning / they put out the warning Tensions were rising over country lines I turned off the music / tried to sit and use it--All of the love I saw that night Cause what about all these children? And what about all their parents? What about all their crowns they wear / and hair so long like mine And what about all their wishes? Wrapped up like garland roses Around their little heads, I say a prayer for a third time I'd trade it all for a stairway to heaven (A stairway) (A stairway) I'd take my time for the climb up to the top of it I'd trade the fame and the fortune and the legend (A stairway) (A stairway) I'd give it all away / if you give me just one day / to ask Him one question I'd give it all away / if you give me just one day / to ask Him one question I was at Coachella / Leaning on your shoulder Watching your husband swing and shine I'd say it was hella / cool to win them over Critics can be so mean sometimes He was on his knees and / I thought he was breakin them down With his words and his voice divine Doesn't take a genius to know what you've got going and to not want to lose it cause they've lost their minds Cause what about all these children? And all their children's children? And why am I even wondering that today? Maybe my contribution / could be as small as hoping That words could turn to birds and birds would send my thoughts your way I'd trade it all for a stairway to heaven (A stairway) (A stairway) I'd take my time for the climb up to the top of it (A stairway) I'd trade the fame and the fortune and the legend (A stairway) (A stairway) I'd give it all away / if you give me just one day / to ask Him one question I'd give it all away / if you give me just one day / to ask Him one question Na na na ( A stairway / A stairway to heaven) Na na na na na na ( A stairway) Got a million things I wanna say We'll put some walls up, it'll be ok We'll put some walls up A stairway A stairway to heaven A stairway A Stairway / A stairway to heaven A Stairway Credit to @ She's a Trump supporter confirmed
GodBlessMe 2,141 Posted May 14, 2017 I can't believe Lana would namedrop Joan Baez as an inspiration for the album and then come up with these lyrics. And i can't believe she would namedrop The Shangri-Las and then release a song with production that sounds this cheap. 8 Quote I AM MY ONLY GOD

Starsx 1,849 Posted May 14, 2017 I can't believe that this song is a single. I thought that record companies picked the best songs from the album to release or at least decent ones. I don't understand what the strategy is. All I know is that Lana hasn't been the same music quality wise since Ultraviolence. I guess she really won't top her previous work. Coachella - Woodstock In My Mind is a cringe title

Shadowheart 3,817 Posted May 14, 2017 Lyrics are amazing, best from LDR5 yet imo. She literally sings that she is worried about her vintage kids, with their flower crowns, in the world that we're all living in at the very moment. She has seen the crowds of beautiful and happy people at Coachella and started to think what would happen with their future, families if the war suddenly started. Got a million things I wanna sayWe'll put some walls up, it'll be ok These words, in my opinion mean that Lana herself, as many people on the world, has her own thoughts about certain things but is afraid to shout them out loud. The walls could be a metaphor of growing stronger in mind, not being afraid to speak up to make a difference. Maybe that's why she is posting so much stuff about protests and public marches. :candy: Don't mind me, just overthinking stuff..

I mean the kids she's singing about I feel like are the Korean poor kiddos not her twink fans Other than that I love the walls symbolism you came up with that's a brilliant interpretation

Lucas B. 1,459 Posted May 14, 2017 Love the way she's talking about politics on the lyrics. The queen's really afraid of the future and hopes the best for us. You guys should stop criticizing so much, stop all this hate.
Sugar Venom 9,658 Posted May 14, 2017 i know lana said she likes to be really involved in the mixing which i appreciate so much the more i listen to it the more i notice little things in the production, it's definitely a grower but once you love you LOVE it i think it's absolutely wonderful, im so glad it turned out this way. the more you appreciate the song and lana and it just makes you feel so good, i'm so happy rn lol. it's perfect
C0neyIslandKing 2,206 Posted May 14, 2017 I love the lyrics! She had a lovely time at Coachella and felt happy and loved and she wants us all to feel that way even though she knows that she and a lot of people around the world are scared of the future and the things going on in the world right now, such a beautiful sentiment! The line about her words become birds and the birds bringing her thoughts of loving and being loved to us is perhaps one of my favourite Lana lines tbh, it sounds beautiful and the meaning behind it is so cute! This song really continues what she said after Love was released? 'don't worry, all you need is love'
