BTD Era Sampler w/ unreleased songs on eBay (Dubious Authenticity)

Recommended Posts

Someone posted this on eBay:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lana-Del-Rey-Born-To-Die-Rare-SAMPLER-Promo-CD-/233083334084?_trksid=p2385738.m4383.l4275.c10

Very steep price but the tracklist is interesting.

Tracklist:

01. Video Games (4:50)
02. Blue Jeans (3:30)
03. Born To Die (4:50)
04. Off To The Races (5:00)
05. You Can Be The Boss (3:05)
06. Diet Mountain Dew (3:55)
07. Put The Radio On (3:40)
08. Radio (3:35)
09. Dark Paradise (4:10)
10. Summertime Sadness (4:10)
11. Driving In Cars With Boys (4:00)
12. Hundred Dollar Bill (4:01)
13. National Anthem (3:51)
14. Million Dollar Man (3:50)
15. Lucky Ones (3:50)
16. Live Or Die (3:25)
17. This Is What Makes Us Girls (3:52)
18. Without You (3:50)

Not only are there a number of unreleased songs but there's also some unreleased mixes; for example, "Dark Paradise" has the alternate lyrics ("I've got the ice") but the final album instrumental.

Anyone know anything about this?

sooooooo fake, born to die sampler with her lust for life logo? lol

she used that logo back in 2011... it was literally in the video games video

But still... looks very fake

Actually...I swear in 2011 a preorder for BTD went up with this exact tracklist. I remember cause Put the Radio On and 100$ Bill was on it. Still doesn't mean it's real.

I didn't know we had snippets for "ice" demo from Dark Paradise. Anyway, the way the audio quality is butchered between each song (is Put the Radio On pitched? dead) shows that it must be a fake bootleg

Some of the mixes sound new like Radio/VG/DP but it could be because it sounds compressed so who knows

The only authentic BTD sampler we know of besides the ones that leaked with OTTR Mix 9, Born 2 Die, etc. is the one that was sent to publications for review around 2010

Credits to @@Lad who posted this in an old thread but the tracklist was apparently

National Anthem (Nexus/Justin Parker)

Born to Die (Emile Haynie)

Live or Die (Jaz Rogers)

Hey Lolita Hey (Liam Howe)

Million Dollar Man (Chris Braide)

Video Games (Justin Parker/Robopop)

Paris (Guy Chambers/Liam Howe)

Puppy Love (Justin Parker)

Driving in Cars With Boys (Nexus)

This is What Makes Us Girls (Tim Larcombe)

Hundred Dollar Bill (Jayson Michael)

Are You Ready? (Eg White)

Diet Mountain Dew (Alexis Smith/Crispin Hunt/Mike Daly)

You Can Be The Boss (Alexis Smith)

Kinda Outta Luck (Alexis Smith)

Carmen (Justin Parker)

Put the Radio On (Biff Stannard)

Blue Jeans (Emile Haynie)

i dont ever recall hearing the DP demo with the album instrumental but everything else seemed the same as what we already had..

even if it is real there's no way that would ever be worth it :rip:

Also Lucky Ones (the guitars are replaced with strings synths), TIWMUG (rougher and with strings synths) and Without You (rougher and no backing vocals) sound different, although I believe the whole thing is just fake.

Even if it was real it's not worth it tbh, there would go my last hope of ever getting HDB in HQ :deadbanana:
