It's a Miles Kane solo record, and he's not a part of AM, so I don't think there'd be any overlap between the release of the two albums

And I really like the vibe of the album. It's like my favorite kind of vibe. Unfortunately people are trashing it on Twitter because they thought it'd be like their last album. But I'm really digging it.

I agree. It's something new, but I really do like it!

I'm really digging the new album, very Bowiesque. Love the vibe, like just so easy to get lost in. It evokes a sense escapism for me lol! Also the video for Four Out Of Five is amazing. Loving the aesthetic for both music and visuals thus far.

I'm not a really big fan of their new record...I do like some songs but, you know...I don't LOVE them. It's pretty different and maybe it'll grow more on me. I can appreciate the sound and it's obviously really good but it just doesn't connect with me except for a few songs. Kind of underwhelmed to be honest, but like I said, maybe it'll grow on me in time.

Really enjoying the new album. As soon as they released the title Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino I was hooked tbh 

 

As they announced it, I was under the impression it would have some similar aesthetic to Lana's OTTR. I correlated it because of the betting/hotel references. 

But I was pleasantly surprised to find that it had a lounge/easy listening vibe; with a bunch of space/sci fi elements. (invokes early days LfL/Love MV imo)

 

Liked the MV for 4/5, as well. Had an escapist/dreamy quality to it. 

 

Favorite tracks are: Star Treatment, 4/5, The Ultracheese, and American Sports

a "pretty" album, but honestly boring and not single song stood out to me

 

i think they were too focused on making the album aesthetically pleasing rather than making actual good music with a replay value

I've just found this thread and i'm really happy it exists since Arctic Monkeys are my favourite artists along with Lana.   

I'm going to give my opinion too on TBHC:
I think this album is to the Monkeys what Honeymoon was to Lana. It doesn't focus on being radio-friendly or having bop tunes except 1 or 2 songs, it's an album which you have to listen from the first to the last song in order to enjoy and understand it. At first I wasn't too happy about it because I missed those guitar tunes and Matt's drums but after listening to it a few times you realize it's an actual masterpiece and yes, those are stille the same Monkeys from 2013. 
Also I think this was the best era. Like all those freaking aesthetics, those looks that Alex served, their concerts (I went to one of them and I have to admit it was even better than a Lana one), the memes, every single detail was amazing. 

So yeah, now let's just hope we won't have to wait another 5 years.

I never liked arctic monkeys especially there early albums. Just had a generic British rock pop sound. But the last 2 albums have been good. TBHC is very Honeymoon, terrance loves you vibes. The bizarre themes and lyrics I find are imaginative and intriguing. Alex Turner is an exceptional artist overall. He does feel like a male Lana Del Rey in some regards.
