Sorry to the Ari stans who love her doing R&B but I’m sorry this is not her genre at all. She’s at her best doing pop, electronic and even some rock elements (Dangerous Woman).  
 
Her worst album by far. The new tracks bring nothing to table. And I’m not a hater. I’ve been stanning her since the DW era. At least Sweetner had some personality.

I agree that it was more like a music video than a live performance, but this is the case with many TV performances these days in which they can't be there physically and they have to send a prerecorded performance.

its turned into one of my favorite songs by her but i understand how it didn't fit on the album, it doesn't feel like it's from crybaby's POV at all 

Sadly Psycho Lovers hq is lost as the source doesn't have it in hq anymore

Regardless what it is, I think she's definitely moving away from the childish component of it and I'm so here for it. 
I think she'll always have a vintage and very feminine style and I do think lots of people see frilly dresses and think "oh dolly clothes, that's childish" when it's not? That's not what you were saying, I know, but some people actually do have an understanding that limited. 
 
I can't wait to see how the themes evolve most of all. I didn't see anything so childish that it was controversial in this EP so she's getting there 
 

I definitely agree that the production is still not very exciting, but the lyrics and vocal delivery are totally there so I have hope. The production might even be less interesting than K-12 but I wasn't expecting a full return so I guess I'm okay with it. 
 
Anyway I've forgiven the long wait from album 1 to 2

k-12 just comes off as someone who just discovered twitter and then tried to write a whole movie making surface level observations about literally every social issue ever 

cry baby is very natural compared to k-12 and way more relatable which is what people who listen to artists like melanie want from her and that's why a lot of people don't like with artists put social commentary in their music, unless you're a die hard stan who just eats up everything she makes. the metaphors on cry baby were genius k-12 felt like she just collected a ton of school related words and put them into a rhyme generator 

I'd love her to have an ACTUAL cartoon/ painting/ animation as an album cover. Not just another photograph of her

I want the album cover to be something akin to this

I know it's summer but I want a Christmas record by Lana with grungy instrumentals

While I absolutely understand not everyone experiences growth at the same time, there are 16 year old girls out there that are woke af and speaking out non-stop as an ally for poc. I don't think we have to be so extremely delicate and careful when encouraging a 34 year old woman to start learning some more, when she has definitely taken advantage of other cultures and claimed to be so open minded.
 
But then again, calling her racist and dumb isn't gonna help either. 

The way I dedicated my life to this woman 5 years ago every single day, and now I barely care about anything she does

IMO Play Date deserved Alphabet Boy's spot in the CBB world
