None, really. Brooklyn Baby maybe with a shorter edit like Sitar posted before, but the drug reference kills almost any possibility. Same for High By The Beach. And pls don't tell me, BUT TOVE LO!!!111

In all honesty, you need radio and radio won't touch any of her singles if she has the tiniest bit of controversy in it.

Salvatore could have done something for her in Europe, but since Lana has given up on Europe completly, nobody cares about her here anymore outside of a small fanbase.

And that is it, dear ladies and gentleman.

If she ever wants to have a comeback, she needs to get her ass to Europe, especially UK, Germany and France and promote on TV and radio with filmed performances.

People who in here post Freak (srsly Wtf?!!!!), West Coast, Shades Of Cool or Florida Kilos have no clue what radio is playing. And no airplay = no hit

People in Europe fell in love with her because of her glamorous, retro, big production on BTD. Nothing that came after resembles that. UV was poison for her career in Europe.

Idk if I can say this but I do believe Salvatore could have been remixed or smt and get huge because it's an insanely strong melody. And I adore everything from UV so I can't be partial for it

West Coast should have been huge imo.

I was thirteen when I first heard of Lana, it was the end of 2011. I was in the first grade of the Middle School in my country. It's usual the beginning of the time when you start to discover yourself and find your hobbies. I must confess that who am I today is 1/3 because of my dad and 2/3 because of Lana Del Rey.

"Lolita" --> before Lana I knew I liked older men etc. but I had never seen it as some kind of fetish that can be appreciated. Lana helped me to define myself, I guess.

James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, "The Godfather", "Scarface", "Easy Rider", "Pretty Baby" etc. --> I simply wanted to see all the movies Lana was singing about/watch movies with her fave actors and actresses. Now I am 18 years old Federico Fellini, Woody Allen, Quentin Tarantino, Ingmar Bergman,  Michelangelo Antonioni etc. stan and planning to be a filmmaker in the future, trying to get into Art School after I finish High School next year.

Lou Reed --> my dad is a big fan of Lou but my dad himself never made me like his music. It was actually Lana. I got into Lou, The Velvet Underground, then Iggy Pop, David Bowie etc. I started to be really interested in avant-garde and pop-art as well.

Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen, The Doors --> not ashamed to admit that Lana made me like them.

Walt Whitman --> in my country Whitman isn't that famous since he's 100% American but I borrowed his poems from my dad and totally fell in love with this guy.

History --> I always liked history but thanks to Lana I know stories of JFK, Manson Family, Marilyn Monroe's life (Lana songs made me read books and articles).
Many songs, books, movies - artists that made who I am this day. She showed me the artists who then showed me another artists. All because of Lana Del Rey.

    What is your story?

It's like I love Lana but she's still deathly shy I doubt she would've said something like this. At least not out in public, maybe in song though

The final BTD songs were generally overproduced imo but they still have this strange lyrical potential that lured the entire fandom! At the end of the day you really have to experience the shitty sexual experience to fully appreciate the great one if that makes sense
I'm so happy we got the demos though

Backfire always brings this edit onto my mind:

Longin for her man to come back, all dressed up back from the city to finally work more on the relationship and it obviously not matching the "environment" anymore, because they can't just simply come back, Lana desperately smoking a cigarette thinking all the things that happen between them through... It doesn't even suit the era it was written in, yet still my mind brings this very specific picture.

TV in Black and White reminds me of this particular Marfa take:

This is rather bizzare to think of, but that's what's happening in my mind - her sitting by the window (Greenvich Avenue is possibly why I clearly see her observing the street), hoping he'd finally show up magically coming back from the prison and daydreaming of the reunion in this sweet, naive aesthetic.
Once again, the age difference with the picture pops up, but it's brief enough for me to forget the detai.

So I love editing and thats what I basically do in my free time.. I like to retouch / make cover art. I'm 100% self taught and I started editing in like 2012. Through the years I've learned more and more about editing through Photoshop and I'm happy to share some of my work with you:)

It really is an amazing song!

"Do you have a girl? I don't see a ring on your finger.
Well that's interesting, have you ever thought of dating a singer?"

The line about  Hunter S Thompson is the best (most accurate and funny) literary reference she's ever made.
