  1. Oh i just realised what you meant! I be so confused before. Just clarifying for myself: This was the first image posted as a puzzle/on her website, but i guess it shouldve been a giveaway that it wasnt the cover because its not even square: This is the alt cover: https://www.instagram.com/p/CgCl9KdJcr2/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= This is the final/official cover (which is the one i personally like best): https://www.instagram.com/p/Cf9qxvQv9kH/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

Absolutely. I think the diversity of the songs helps too. Not that every song is the same on Goddess or Serpentina but especially for goddess, when I think of the album I think of one particular vibe only (which was still everything to me at the time in 2014-15) But when I think of The Altar and III, I can't even place what the vibe is besides tones of vulnerability and power
  3. Honeymoon BABY happy 7th birthday I still remember my first listen to the leak the night before (?) its release. I found out it had leaked by searching in the news tab on Google (this is how I used to constantly check for news before I joined LB the next year) at like 1am before I was going to bed, then I found it and listened to it until 2am. I was SO tired, half asleep, and honestly confused at how quiet and subtle the whole album seemed. I think on first listen it was only Freak and Art Deco that I instantly liked as much as HBTB and Honeymoon. It probably took me a week to warm up to the other songs but it got better and better with every single listen. I got deepest into the album in late 2015 on my bus rides to/from University. Honeymoon really helped me get through hard times when it was late and getting dark and I was dreading getting back home to be alone in my room again. I still feel this album like it's my guardian angel leading me towards peace and harmony. It helped me to be softer on myself when there used to be such stormy violence inside me.

You had me at the Gossip Girl scene mention! I specifically remember that song but never looked into them more. Just listened to their Mayday (2014) EP which is good. I'll definitely keep listening
  5. As someone who loves Lana's spoken lyrics in songs (HBTB ending, Burnt Norton, Ultraviolence bridge), it's weird that I don't like Violet very much, except for Sport Cruiser. I still wish we'd get the instrumentals though. I'd play the shit out of them. I never realised she'd listed Radiohead! R.I.P.

I'm still so obsessed with The Altar instrumentals too
  7. Definitely. I think more than half the album sounds very much like those 3 songs- pretty much all of them except the singles.
  8. OK definitely the metal influenced ones. And also, on more listens i can't choose favourites anymore!
  9. I genuinely had no idea there was even more planned rn, let alone a double singe did this come from Sky's mom? Aka her publicist
  10. Listen to this until 0:11 And then play this from 0:17 I'm totally gonna do a mashup
  11. . Wrong thread But anyways, another single in December and album out July 2022?
  12. Season of the Witch! I heard the original by Donovan when I was watching Dark Shadows recently, and started listening to that one again. But I realised Lana's version is so much easier to sing. She has a way of refreshing songs and making them smoother in all of her covers.
  13. It's cool that you say that cause to me it also sounds very pure! Like dark but soft, just like the supposed/alt title Black Leather Moonlight
  14. So the alt cover became the regular album cover? I think it's better anyway <3 I love the album! Take Me Nowhere and Girl Next Door are probably my favs, even more than the singles. I must say her songs are already sounding kinda samey/blending into the melodies of the others, but I'm not quite bored yet. I get it- how an EP can sound very very similar to the next album. I can't decide whether I like her classic punk pop tracks more or the ones that blend electronic and metal. Her lyric videos are pretty cool too. I love how it's like catching glimpses of her life realistically- just on her phone all the time
  15. I never would have thought of this but yes omg. Incidentally, I always listen to this in the Southern hemisphere autumn (March- May). Also, Honey Gentry recently released a beautiful cover of Playground Love.

Oh wow that's 3 years just like that! The main things that remain in my head are the Detention dance, her cute outfit from Highschool Sweethearts, and the Strawberry Shortcake instrumental.

Switch and Stagger are cool! Summer Breeze has a nice vibe. Just can't really stand the lyrics rn for personal reasons
  18. Nothing is ever real to me until the album art is revealed. Not even a lead single. I think sky ferreira has traumatised me, and also the 1 yr wait between MAC/VB and NFR. I'm also realising that all of Lana's album covers since Ultraviolence have confused the fuck out of me, besides Blue Bannisters (and also Violet is kinda cute). Honeymoon grew on me, but the other 3 didn't. It honestly takes me a few days to get my head around her album covers, whether I like them or not, so it's going to be an interesting time when this one is released.
  19. Listen, be sad. But you can be both sad and also not try to silence the important information that people are talking about
  20. Waiting for Lana to top the "I always loved the way they [two cousins] loved" statement
  21. My comfort movies are Ginger Snaps (2000) and The Love Witch (2016) My comfort show used to be Skins (UK) but since I outgrew that a few years ago I haven't got a new comfort show! It would be Orphan Black but I don't have whatever streaming service it's on. Edit: this stupid bitch forgot Futurama!
  22. Don't sleep on this interview! Her energy is so inspiring here
