I've never thought of that GQ shoot as trashy. It might be the way she's posed that makes me notice she's covering up more than trying to expose herself (despite the legit nudity i know), and her gaze is not provocative either. I've always seen it as quite classy. Don't know if I'm the only one who thinks that tho. Even when I first saw that shoot at 15 years old, when i was very against nudity and things like that (trust me, no problem with it now), I still thought it was tasteful and at the very least not trashy. (I still don't think the man grabbing her boob in the shoot was very tasteful, just talking about Lana alone in those photos)

I'm starting to really think it's the base and strings missing. And no, Lana's songs don't require base and/or strings to be amazing songs, but they definitely give the depth. Then again, I also understand they were not going for that depth. But since I always associated her music with depth and texture, I can't see NFR as free and breezy, I can only see it as lacking. Edit: I think your use of the word "alchemy" is perfect!

He does that on purpose to make it sound "unexpected", which he thinks translates to genius. A while ago, someone on here shared soundcloud links to Jack talking about the production in The Greatest and if i recall correctly, he talks about it in that. When I was listening to the full version, I could almost begin to appreciate Jack's thought process and production as he explained it all, but then when I listened to The Greatest again, I really couldn't pick up his "genius"... There is such a contrast in what people think about NFR, it's almost like the Laurel vs Yanny thing, where both might be correct. Its either her best or her worst and no in between..

Gave the album a first listen! I really like about half the songs, and im definitely going to let the rest grow on me. There were multiple moments that almost gave me shivers.

My young cousin, who is now 4, is called Alana, but Lana for short (she was named for Lana Turner actually) and I will 100% do the same.

So I did what any lana stan would do and looked through all of the photoshoots from the Ultraviolence and Honeymoon era. Our girl almost exclusively wore red nails for 2 years straight! Even 3 probably if we look back into the Paradise era, but I think she switched it up a bit more then Absolutely iconic.

I love to hear that! I still have my shuffle, ipod nano and ipod touch. Love them all, even tho the touch is unusable due to a smashed screen. I've updated my nano from time to time with new music, but I love leaving the shuffle exactly as it was since like 2009. I'm not sure why I never had the classic ipod, but the nano was seriously my favourite one.

Thats so great to hear! I was under the impression that the entire lawsuit thing (if it's the one with poppy & titanic u mean) got dropped and settled privately. Maybe there is hope for most of the songs to make their way to Spotify.

I'm so happy Angry is out a complete serve, even though i heard it ages ago, im so glad she did this!!!! It gives me so much hope. Its her bone structure which is easier to see with 'dry' facial flesh as shes gotten older. It's pretty unique to Sky, because she doesn't have sharp qualities everywhere. But in this image, you'll see she has more of the Dramatic face on the left (probably mixed with blunt/natural)

I'm late, so forgive me if the last 5 pages are more of the same as what I'm saying. I think what makes her look "aged" is literally just the bone structure of her face. Her face is naturally more more dry in terms of flesh. Look more into Kibbe body types if you want to know about that kind of thing (bone structure, how flesh looks over bones- soft vs dry). The makeup on her eyelids also doesn't do a good job of "opening up" her eyes, but she's always been into that kind of look anyway. In some photos it's just the camera that got her eyes half blinking. She looks like a different person. But in others, she looks fabulous! Exactly how I'd expect her to look 10 years since NTMT. Her hair looks the best it's ever looked too!

Her hair is perfect. If my hair looked that good I might also go to churches so that everyone there can test their hold against the 4th deadly sin about it.
