I knew absolutely nothing about Gloves before this. I want more from 2013! Her voice can do SO much, and she sounds amazing singing in every single style she's done.

I'm a listener of 10 years (i think October will be the official decade), and Lana has remained in my top 3 artists this whole time. She was my #1 back in 2013-2015, because those eras were everything I ever wanted, and even tho I haven't felt such a "favourite" moment with her music since 2015-16, she remains in my top 3 artists because of the huge impact she had on me then, and how much she still interests me. Nothing will top that and I can be happy about it. Right now I feel like less of a big stan and more of an older fan that will obviously keep in close with the news, but no longer expects her new releases to be my new favourite thing, if that makes sense. It's taken me long enough to be happy about sinking into an old familiarity with her music, and im learning to be more grateful with what we have than expectant for new and better things. I probably sound like someone talking about music from like 30 years ago, but I FEEL these years gone by ok I was 15, now I'm turning 26, its a long time!

I have no idea what it even takes to be President/prime minister tbh, so it's probably a lot more complex than this, but in my own country, I'd pass a lot of laws to help protect the environment first, and hopefully put things in place that are more progressive, like get more diversity into the parliament house- women, POC, especially Indigenous people. What would you do if you were suddenly stuck back in time, to a point maybe 12 years ago where there is almost no Lana music out there or any of the new music you love, let alone streaming sites? How would you recover yourself having lost a big chunk of the modern stuff we rely on these days like good smart phones and other tech/tools, even tho it's not that far back?

Quote me pls, I want to read everythng Mine: I discovered Red Lips on tumblr (early 2013) as a gif with the spider, and I found out what it was and got obsessed. I only really listened to Red Lips, Everything's Embarassing and Lost In My Bedroom until NTMT was released and that album sky-rocketed to my fav of 2014, only topped by Ultraviolence.

I find it pretty funny that Grimes has gone from an underground indie weirdo that friends used to say I looked like anytime I did something weird and unconventional with my looks, now to a capitalised robot queen who has the gen z egirls and gamer guys in a chokehold. I half want to vouch for her still, half want to cover the eyes of my 17 year old self who was obsessed, so I don't see what she becomes I still find her fascinating tho, that's the thing. It's tiring. It's like I wanna go to sleep and be done with this but I keep drinking coffee to stay up and see the end of it.

Just watched this 3 part series and learned a lot that I never knew about, particularly before Geidi Primes.

Oh cool! Do you recall if they had easily discernable lyrics, and were not just a mish-mash of sounds? Reason I ask is bc there are a lot of seemingly fake snippets that sound cool and dark and cinematic but the lyrics are definitely not discernable, and I'm trying to recall if it happened like that before & was true.
