Remember when lana shared a picture of that fan who got the "Born to die, Paradise, Ultraviolence, Honeymoon" tattoo on their ribs/side? I wonder if they go it completed with Lust for Life, NFR, etc. Imagine being them, waiting for each album title to be announced and then it's something like Chemtrails Over the Country Club

I think she's interested in that "world", but not there herself. Remember when she was promoting that psychic/reader on her instagram? I would say she's turned there from time to time because it sounded like psychological therapy didn't help her. But much like her infamous church visits, I doubt it's been consistent or that it really stuck.

I once saw someone with a tattoo of Lana on her leg. It was the devil artwork, exactly like this, but without the LFL writing. Black and white. It was perfect. I wish I had said something to her about it!

Sorta how im feeling too, whenever i check back in and stop pretending its no biggie. This is why I gave the leaked songs suspected to be on Masochism ONE listen and deleted them. They sounded great, they really did, but I cannot give myself any more expectations. I already know it's not going to hit me as hard as NTMT did because of the lacking rock influence but I am pretty happy she's explored her 80s ballad sound which is my second-most favourite. It all sounds like one good album to me, and very cohesive, so at least it's not some messy shit, which is what makes me complain too much *cough* lana.

This is the only nasty cherry song I constantly listen to. I sometimes get Win stuck in my head tho, and Music With Your Dad is pretty cool.

My daily attempt to forget about the current situation/non-situation: The American Dream (Demo) is so much better, and I only heard it for the first time when that link was shared the other day I might try and mix the demo and the final because I like demo better until the part before the second chorus , and from then onwards the final version is actually better.

TYSM for this! I hadn't heard any of the demos. Red Lips demo snippet sounds so good. I know Shirley apparently only wrote it with Sky but the demo sounds exactly like the sound of Garbage's album (Not Your Kind of People) of around that time

Freak Like Me Too- even tho Freak is one of my favs Dark Paradise (Demo 1 more) Architecture Lust For Life- pretty much all demos but especially the first that leaked Young and In Love Beautiful People (all of them) So Good Plenty that I can't choose from either, like which Lolita, Million Dollar Man, TIWMUG, Mermaid Motel, And some where I prefer something in the demo, but not the whole demo overall- the Drive bridge > Ride bridge, and that Summertime Sadness demo where it goes heavy at the end. From other artists, one that really gets to me is how much better both Time To Dance demos by P!ATD are. Some Evanescence demos from Fallen that I think had better guitar, piano or electronic parts than the album versions too.

Is the reason Sky hasn't done any interviews about the album (unless I've missed it) because of the label too? Like would it be against the contract for her to just approach any music journalist to talk about it?

I like the idea and vibe of Lana being in rap songs but i have always zoned out in the rap parts

So in the Fader interview, it says: We could go back to the start, she sings on the title track, but I don’t know where we are. I'm so confused. Did they hear this wrong? Or was that an original lyric that got changed?

Another full circle moment: Back in 2013 I came across this "unreleased Lana song" called Ambulance, and i loved it so much. For a full 2 years I thought it was Lana, then I find out it was pitched and it's actually a singer called Coco Morier. It sounded way better unpitched. In 2019 or 2020 I heard Sky wrote Journey to the Center of the World and gave it to Coco Morier, so I thought that was a cool connection. Then yesterday I found out Ambulance was actually Sky's song too! Sky seems to be at the centre of the musicians I love, cause I very recently found out she wrote with Shirley Manson from Garbage- one of my first favourite bands.
