I think it tops Art Angels too. It's more connected to her older albums, also feeling like a progression. Art Angels felt almost like a side project to me, not that it didn't deserve the attention it got tho. I think Miss_Anthropocene may even top Visions once we get the full release.

Me to this whole season

I know that, and I knew someone would pull me up. It just felt like it was... connected, like I couldn't tell the two apart but I know that's just my lack of education on those particular diagnoses. Edited! When asked about those lyrics before, I believed her when she said she was just speaking from her own experiences and how it felt at the time. At least now she's acknowledged that "he hit me and it felt like a kiss" is toxic asf and stopped singing it (but then forgot, and sang it more recently) lolll

I am yet to see someone who has actually taken to it that way... Maybe the younger crowd that I don't f with... I had 2 friends that listened to lana and anytime I mentioned "oh I love this, one, not that I relate but it's the best song" they would go on about how much they relate to it (like how their ex was apparently a serial killer and went to jail and how they slept with an older man and blah blah) and I was like geeez it's not a competition and you should'nt be proud to relate THAT close to her songs. It got really cringey, like every single song they claimed they related to completely and therefore deserved to like the songs more or something. Glad I'm not friends with them anymore because one was a sociopath (with an actual diagnosis) and one a compulsive liar, which I cannot handle.

I like guardian, Moonwell and black orchid. the rest are obviously good too and it sounds like good gamer girl music, or something to play around the house at night with the fairy lights on. I don't reaaallly see the point in Chimera 2.0 but it's not bad.

It's official. Lana has slipped off my list of favourite artists. This is pretty much the first time an artist has been involuntary 'removed' from my favourites list, because she didn't do anything I hate (besides support homophobic churches) and I didn't mean for it to happen, it just sorta did since NFR was released. And I did try to stop it, but it feels like there is actually no reason to be a stan anymore, let alone just a fan.

You could name 20 in previous years!? Omg, I struggle to name 5 good albums each year, let alone for rock/metal!. But you're right, this year has not been so strong . Besides the 2 I mentioned above, Sonata Arcticas Talviyö came out but I only connected to a few songs, and that is literally all I can say for other albums. Your favourites sound very intriguing. I just remembered this! Sharon Den Adel of Within Temptation got to meet Lana on TV a while ago and was the first live performance of Ride. I have a lol at Lana being asked if she liked Within Temptations music and she was like "we were listening to Ice Queen...." But it was pretty obvious that it's just not her kind of music Also a reminder that this exists and I actually love it

I loved it and believed it for like a whole year before reading the YouTube comments where people said it was by Coco Morier. It does sound much better when it's not so pitched. I don't even know how to describe the song but it's like soothing, and a bit raw like it definitely could have been a Lana demo from 2010, and tbh, fits on AKA Next letter: P

Exactly what I've been thinking. Last season was also missing that seriousness and eeriness that the show used to get me addicted to. Every other season has been better up to this point. I'm actually rewatching Cult rather than catching up on the last episode of 1984 and it's so much better

Didn't realise there was a thread here. I particularly like her first album, especially the opening.its so magical. I love heavily themed albums like this Love ice reign too. Those two and No Church on Sunday are my tops.

When Ajay ll reacted to The Altar, she thought Haunt was titled Hunt and continued listening to the song with that in mind. I actually like to pretend it say Hunt now cause the nature sounds and drums make it sound like a jungle.

I don't think this indigenous day branches out to Australia but here's some good news: Uluru has finally closed to people climbing. It made me sick to see such massive crowds rushing and lining up to climb it before it closes. Imagine being so racist and disrespectful.... They should have just closed it straight away, rather than letting people plan for a last climb. I've visited the rock 3 times but never climbed it. (I wanted to when I was like 7 but my mum scolded me and told me about how disrespectful it is, I'm glad) The rock is forever damaged and the path where people walked on it will not erode back to normal for God knows how long. I just hope this giving back to Traditional Owners continues across the world. And sooner rather than later
