Sky would have needed to turn Masochism into the label for it to actually be "gone". It doesn't seem that Masochism ever really existed in a a physical sense. Songs like Downhill Lullaby, Don't Forget, Descending, etc. were recorded and intended for it, but it doesn't seem like the album was ever completed or even put together. As far as ownership rights, she signed as a 15 year old who was singing Bloodshy & Avant demos so it's likely that whatever deal she signed did not include her owning her masters. She would probably still be able to use the name Masochism, since the label doesn't own conceptual album titles.
 
Assuming that she does not own her masters it most likely means they're owned by the label (as is most cases when the artist doesn't own them), however, that enters a kind of weird (legal) grey area. Capitol would technically have the rights to any songs she wrote/recorded during that time, however, the label would only really have claim to the songs that she turned in (this would include rough demos), meaning if certain songs weren't played live before she left, and were never sent to the label, she has plausible deniability on whether she made them "after". Because this is a legal grey area, most labels don't bother chasing down artists for those songs because its not worth the money in legal battles/optics.
 
There's also the case of Tinashe who hired an entertainment lawyer after RCA finally approved release of Joyride in 2018 after four years. The album tanked and she recorded a batch of songs with Hitmaka for a project called Nashe which RCA said they wouldn't release. The entertainment lawyer (who I believe was a UCLA professor, like her dad) was able to negotiate (with the threat of a lawsuit) that Tinashe was able to leave the label with those songs, which eventually ended up on her independent release, Songs For You.
 
I guess my point here is that those songs could be gone, but they also might not be. That may be the reason she stopped playing the new stuff live, to cover her ass from the label when she does drop them. I'd say Downhill Lullaby and Don't Forget are probably gone though. I would maybe throw Descending in there but who knows that might be safe.

I'm just remembering some weird interaction I had online years ago (probably 2016). I posted my spotify top artists and both FKA and BANKS were on there. Some random guy who followed me started trashing me for having FKA Twigs in a higher spot than BANKs because "FKA is trash. BANKs did dark RnB first" Wild.
I've listened to them both since 2014, and genuinely never related them as being in the same genre, or at least close enough to compare to eachother. I think they tend to have some of the same listeners, but they're so different.

Compared to this post of mine from November 8, she unfollowed the @capitolrecords account y'all. Considering she was following 3679 accounts back then and it's 3676 now, she very rarely unfollows people and one of them is @capitolrecords now. Yeah it's over.

She still follows @capitolmusic though. She probably forgot, or @capitolmusic and @capitolrecords are different things and she only unfollowed the problematic one.

If someone really wants to support Palestine, they should visit Queen Rania's instagram and not Queen Lana's. 

Is This Happiness has amazing lyrics. A repetitive chorus doesn't even matter when the verses and bridge are like that.

They can all relate to losing people and it's heartbreaking, every one of those stories at the beginning. But it really gets to me when the Israeli advocates jump in and claim the Palestinian advocates are lying about many Palestinians going to jail without trial, that the western media is pro-Israel. One even saying America doesn't support Israel And then the guy who said children throwing rocks are terrorists too... thats not what any white folk in western countries get labelled as, let alone children . Idk, this video really just shows me the different media that these Israeli advocates are fed compared to the plenty of verified information they don't seem to have any idea about + Biden literally speaking and supporting Israel with his words and America's money
 
Edit: I want to say that I think the general Israel population is being lied to by their government and the IDF with a very specific narrative. It's still up to every individual to look further than what theyre being told, just like everyone else in the world needs to. But especially when their own nation is responsible for how Palestinians have been living. The ones who already label children as terrorists are probably too far gone tho.

Yeah, I don't really agree with the veto power in general either, but I'd get it if it could still be overridden by the majority of veto power countries. Just one country alone is a terrible system.

Emerging from the shadows for a moment to say that I am genuinely very curious if we’ll be hearing anything from her after this tour… If she actually did part ways with Capitol, it’s very, very likely that everything she’s recorded while under them belongs only to them (even if she funded it herself). I know that’s what happened to Zella Day in 2019, and she had to remake 3 years of music so she could release the same songs under her new label. If Sky is not with Capitol anymore there’s a high possibility that whatever exists of Masochism up until this point is off the table—perhaps her and the label are both refusing to make any statements because they’re in a legal dispute now and she’s trying to get her songs back from them. At least the tour might cover her legal fees if anything of the sort is happening behind the scenes lol
