Yes yes we get it, your faves not on this list.
Im just glad she's made it twice and that a NFR song did. tbh all I care about is her getting closer to her Grammy.
I dont care how, and which songs do it, she just deserves it

Her next Album NEED BRIDGES AGAIN!!!!! Lana always has the best bridges For example the bridge in Sad Girl or in Terrence loves you or in the blackest Day :legend: !!! Nfr has no bad song and is a very good album and I love the instrumental parts and the intros and outros but imagine some of the songs would have a really good bridge the power that that has

"The Greatest" clocks in at #79 and "Video Games" cracks the Top 10 at #9.
79.
Lana Del Rey: “The greatest” (2019)
On “The greatest,” Lana Del Rey’s world is aflame. Carefree nights have been poisoned by the constant threat of nuclear warfare; her beloved Malibu is ravaged by monstrous wildfires; nothing feels like it used to, and holding onto hope no longer seems plausible. “The culture is lit, and if this is it, I had a ball/I guess that I’m burned-out after all,” she concludes over a noir swell of strings and keys. Despite its tongue-in-cheek fatalism, “The greatest” doesn’t submit to nihilism; it feels like the logical apex of Del Rey’s ever-present nostalgia. Surfing on a languid ’70s guitar wave, her blasé murmur wraps each turbulent image in a gauze of comforting warmth. The end of the world has never felt so assured. –Quinn Moreland

Lana Del Rey: “Video Games” (2011)
When Lana Del Rey first arrived, she was bored and glamorous, looking by turns like a queen of Old Hollywood and like she was too young to be smoking. Her makeshift visual for “Video Games” confronted the incongruity without shame: The retro-gazing torch singer uploading webcam footage to YouTube, the beautiful pop star acquiescing to feeling ignored. The most familiar version of “Video Games” is actually the rough mix, a working draft built over live vocals and piano. It’s not quite polished, and like the grain on a photograph, that’s part of its charm. Tolling church bells, harp arpeggios, and chilly gasps of electric air swirl around submerged 808 hits, as Lana, low and smooth, sounds self-assured or desperate or even sarcastic. “They say that the world was built for two/Only worth living if somebody is loving you,” she sang, pining after a man-shaped vacancy, as if self-sacrifice could make her any less alone. It was outright depressing, and she made it look good. –Anna Gaca

"I'm not much of a flyer. I don't like to just fly in on the day."
Last year, she said she was getting a pilot's licence and she flies a private jet everywhere, often on the day of a show, even for half-hour trips.

Okay this isn't a complaint but it IS a lie.
I seem to recall her saying she wouldn't sing "he hit me and it felt like a kiss" every again, yet:

I love the album, most of my complaints are about the film (which I'll post tomorrow), I just think that the album would be better if:
- had more songs with a story (like Orange Juice or Teacher's Pet) rather than describing random characters and the overall vibe Cry Baby is surrounded by (Nurse's Office, Wheels On the Bus, even Class Fight could've been on the first category but it's portrayed wrong imo)
- unnecessary amount of swear words
- I wish the album was darker and more hip-hop like she promised. like imagined if she had served songs like this
even some songs on the album could be darker than they are with a few adjustments, just look at this Nurse's Office carbon copy

At the end of the movie when the bubble with the school inside bursts into the pink cloud (Crybaby's magic) I think it would have been nicer if it burst into a pink AND blue cloud since the guy was also half of the effort, and then the cloud should have blended to become PURPLE to symbolise a mixture of duality, bringing two sides together, you can do greater things when working together, etc.

I am so grateful for this thread and forum in general because if I was just stanning alone and not involved in any online Lana community I'd be going through all this in private, wondering where the cherry and change music videos are, wondering what happened to the pwyc and west coast homemade videos, wondering if I just imagined her saying all these things. Thank God other people are concerned about it and remember all these little things.

I was surprised how she said a completely different story about her firsrt meeting with Jack compared to the story she told over and over again during that week of interviews. But this story was better.

LMAO
But to be fair, I thought she was joking about that and that her point was she doesn't care about what people think of her dating a cop, and that if she did care about the photos, it wouldn't be for that reason.
But fuck it I never know what she means

The most common belief of where her name came from:
"I wanted a name I could shape the music towards. I was going to Miami quite a lot at the time, speaking a lot of Spanish with my friends from Cuba – Lana Del Rey reminded us of the glamour of the seaside. It sounded gorgeous coming off the tip of the tongue."
Thought to be inspired by actress Lana Turner and the LA neighbourhood Del Rey OR the Ford Del Rey sedan.
But, a conflicting interview from early in her career: source
Was it a conscious decision to be a solo artist, and where does your stage name Lana Del Rey come from / why did you choose to use this instead of your real name?
“No. I wanted to be a band but the label I was with and the team I had around me absolutely wanted me to be a solo artist. Lana Del Rey came from a series of managers and lawyers over the last 5 years who wanted a name that they thought better fit the sound of the music. My music was always kind of cinematic so they wanted a name that reflected the glamour of the sound.”
