Wow.. nobody hates Lana. We all adore her thats why we are here. They are just discussing the soundscapes & lyrical content they prefer & how they wish LDR5 to sound like since it will be her next release after Honeymoon & she keeps growing as an artist .. so everybodys just curious about where she takes it from 'here'.. no negativity here.. just admiration & love & honest 'personal opinions'.

Now, since, she has bought a house near the sea.. I wonder if it will have that kind of beach vibe.. since the pics we have seen have a 'surf blue' tint

am i the only one who loves all the albums independently since they are all so different from each other?? i cannot decide which one of them i think is better because it will always depend on my mood   plus all this is subjective

for me, who's not a big fan of HM. i still think that HM is not just an album that's just released for no reason.
 
i always think that HM is Lana trying to do a very intimate project with a few people only, and trying to maintain high control on the music production process, that's why she co-produced the entire album and only had two other people to make this album. 
 
and this is the album showing that her theme might evolve a little bit, to a more complex character. a more independent woman who can take control and live her life free

IMO, as far as music is concerned:
Ultraviolence > Honeymoon and AKA > Born to Die> Paradise

I feel like lyrically & thematically this might be her most striking album to date. Of course I can't say sonically yet but, I hope it is as well. We can pray for visually.

I think that P!nk is one of those few artist who can do this! But, I mean, you can't say that a album is good bc it sold 7M copies, if we assume that the numbers of sales represents the quality of the album, then Justin Bieber must be a music genius.

My god you people go in circles.

Her albums can't be compared imo - they all have different objectives and moods. None of them are trying to achieve the same thing as the other - born to die didn't have the same idea as ultraviolence, honeymoon didn't have the same idea as paradise, and so on.
 
Trying to compare her albums does discredit to all of them, because it just means you don't understand them enough to consider that they are so different. Honeymoon is layered under thousands of waves of easygoing haze - just because it's laidback, does that make it boring? If you compare it to BTD tempos and instrumentation, then maybe - but then that defeats the original idea of Honeymoon.

But why bashing HM too?
It's not sending anyone to coma, trust me.
 
 
Every album has its own cons but stop comparing them and bashing others to glorify your own favorite album. (directed to anyone on this forum.)

I actually think Paradise is less commercial friendly than BTD, since it's more stripped back, slower and it leaves behind the hip-hop-inspired beats. But yeah, all in all the two of them are meant to be appreciated by a wider audience.

I don't think that Lana is pop, but I don't think that she's alternative either. I think that she's somewhere between pop and alternative. I mean, she flirts w/ both genres all the time.

From a collectors point of view I'd love a deluxe album for this coming era - maybe with a different album cover from the Standard Edition just to make it extra special. But I really hate itunes and regional exclusives so I hope we won't have that kinda situation again. If she were to do a cover aswell I hope she adds it on the Deluxe and not the Standard Edition.

I know this sounds silly but I hope this era has a plant as a symbol for its music. BTD had the rose, Paradise the Palm Tree, UV the hydrangea and HM... well, nothing

anyways, i have very high hopes for this album. it's something she's been working on for almost a year now and i think she's really trying to do something that's gonna slay our existence. although i don't understand when people say "she won't release it *at this time* because *this person* will be releasing at the same time and it would ruin her chances of getting noticed" or whatever. ive read things like this so much but like...last friday, big sean dropped his new album, mansionz dropped their new single as well as imagine dragons did. and um... i'm bopping to them all!!!

No I thought it was "Open up a beer and you take it over here" but found out some time later when reading lyrics it's "Open up a beer and you say get over here", so you're right 
As for Radio I always thought it was "pick me up" but I suspect she changes the word to lick sometimes?
