  1. HIAB feels like something she wrote/worked on with Jack. I don't know why, the melody just feels a little different. More pop-oriented?
  2. Excited to see the new video when she releases it in January 2020.
  3. Oh damn. At least it sounds like he went peacefully, from the reports.
  4. holy shit, cat and lana together sounds like a dream.
  5. those are good points. I think interviews can be a tricky thing, especially for someone like Lana who has made it pretty clear she only wants to talk about things on her terms, which I can understand and respect. Interviewers and reporters can also be notoriously pushy and kind of invasive*. Like, I get that when you put something out into the world (music/videos), people are going to want to discuss it, especially with the artist themselves, but I think there's something to be said for just letting the music speak for itself, especially since the more you give an interviewer (yeah, that song was about a really difficult breakup), the more material you give the next interviewer (so tell me about that really traumatic breakup? do you guys still speak? was your heart totally shattered? what went wrong in the relationship?) and I imagine that can be not only really draining (especially if it's interview after interview) but also maybe brings up a bunch of shit you don't want to think about, let alone discuss publicly. *i feel this is especially true for musicians who write about more unpleasant parts of life and have a darker public image than the typical artist. i feel like you could see this a lot during the BTD and UV eras, where a lot of the interview questions felt really pointed and like trying to get Lana to answer the broader question of "why are you so sad?", which is a really simplistic way of looking at people, since a lot of people have gone through tough times and process those emotions and events in different ways (while also misrepresenting Lana's entire discography as being "sad girl music", which really dismisses a lot of the subjects and topics and observations present in her music).
  6. Oh shit, I forgot this was out today. Gonna have to try to listen sometime later on.
  7. Praying to the gay gods above to make this happen
  8. Hmm, don't know what to think of this. The idea I've heard, about the end of the summer of love/love and peace era and the way that manifested in Hollywood could be really interesting, but I'm kind of on the fence of how Tarantino will approach this, especially if he goes in revisionist history mode again. (I'll probably still see it, though.)
  9. Has it really only been just a little over a year since he stepped into office? Strange. Feels so much longer than that. Really not sure I have the energy for 3ish more years of this.
  10. why does this make me think of that jimmy fallon Sara skit ew: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSNasZ5W_8A
  11. lol. Musicians hang out with other musicians all the time. Good for Lana for meeting new people, assuming she didn't previously know Jack and Kevin. In terms of her next record, this literally means nothing (for now).
  12. Wouldn't have pictured Troye and Ariana working together, but I think the difference in their voices could go really well, especially if it's more of a duet. I think they could blend well. Interested to hear it, at least.
  13. Not necessarily album-related, but she did have a new photoshoot in W Magazine. I wonder if this gives any indication about what the fourth album could look like, especially since I believe they are currently casting for a music video in LA. https://www.wmagazine.com/story/greta-gerwig-florence-welch-fashion-cover-story
  14. She is definitely not lacking in photo shoots this era.
  15. That they are even calling this "flowergate." It's not that dramatic. No one outside of like 5 people on the internet care/remember this even happened lol.
  16. This is supposed to be his first day back? And of course YouTube won't make any permanent decisions, he makes them way too much money for them to kick him off the site. But damn if he isn't the personification of like every preppy, popular high school bully I've ever come across, the kind that is able to get away with a whole bunch of shit because of his status/money and ability to be charming when he needs to be.
