i really hope she just hands over the album to the label at this point so she can't go back and create another LFL demo vs final situation again. -

every time i see the cover art, i keep thinking i am watching a livestream of Lana and the video is stalling. idk if that's a good or bad thing. it's very different from the more stylized covers/singles. -

I've said this before, but her ability to evolve naturally while still sounding like herself is so good, and rare. I don't know how she does it. -
Not a bad EP. I kind of like it.

Us: That sounds beautiful Lana. When are you gonna release it? Lana: Never. Us: But will you tease us for years to come? Lana: Absolutely. -

I really hope this album comes out before the end of March. I don't want her to leak most of it on her Instagram. It's not the same experience when you know most of the album going into it. -

elle magazine probably just scrolled through her instagram and assumed SP is the next single because they think she teases singles the way other artists do. -
2020 USA Democratic Presidential General Election
pawn shop blues replied to graham4anything's topic in World News
Please i hope Oprah and Hillary don't try to run. I like Oprah, but she has already expressed multiple times she doesn't want to do this, and celebrities running for president should not turn into a trend. President of the US is not something you can train on the job for. Hillary just does not have that ability to connect with the majority and is something that's been proven twice now. I feel like having either Hillary or Trump back in for second term would just continue the divided state the US is currently in. I don't want another 4+ years of everyone against everyone else and I don't see Hillary as being a really unifying leader. (but if it's randomly between Hillary, Trump, and Oprah, I would vote for Oprah since she probably has the most chance of getting people a little more unified and is the least polarizing candidate.) -
Will you ever stop stanning Lana?
pawn shop blues replied to Kurac na Biciklu's topic in Lana Thoughts
I don't think I will ever stop being interested in what she releases unless she goes in a really different direction and ditches everything that has made her an interesting artist to get immersed in, but I am not sure if that is even possible. She just has that special quality, that ability to surprise and evolve while still sounding like herself. Not to mention the 2011-2015 period really helped me get through some stuff. She's probably like Top 5 artist of all time for me, so I can't really see myself ever not interested in what she has to say, even if it doesn't always connect with me. -

i feel like venice bitch only really makes sense as the opening track or the closing track. Or potentially the midway transition track, if she wants to stack the first half of the record for more slow ballads and the second half as freer/more psychedelic. but who knows with lana. -

i feel there's a strong possibility the poetry book never happens, but lana spends the next 5 years teasing the hell out of it on Instagram and making everyone think it's coming next week. -
lol what the fuck.
-
doesn't she just create a new account each time?
-
damn i kinda forgot how much she used to play around with her vocals during live performances. those were fun times, and one more reason why there isn't anyone else out there like her.

The poetry book is hopefully actually coming out. Either way, I feel like the general album will have more of a poetry/abstract feel, if the snippets we have gotten so far are any confirmation. -

not recently, but I remember at least one interview a while ago saying that she wanted kids as long as she didn't fuck it up (I think it was UV era) and I swear there was another interview 2015ish where she mentioned wanting a daughter. eh, to be fair to LFL, it had been her longest break between albums, and it was kind of unclear which direction she was going in, esp. since she was dabbling in new things like politics, so there was probably more excitement/chatter (not all good) about where she was taking her album (and general career). But yeah, teasing 45/60 seconds of piano-driven songs that all sound basically the same months before the album is supposed to be released isn't doing her any favors. LFL felt like a bigger project (even if it was all over the place), so teasing more stuff felt appropriate. If this record is going to be how it sounds right now, which is a lot quieter winter album, I feel like it would be best to push everything forward and stop the snippets and just release one or two actual songs in their entirety. Or just take a break until she finalizes everything so we don't get another LFL situation. -
Also, I hope in the future tours they just ditch the choreography completely. It just doesn't work with the type of music Lana makes. Her music is too mysterious and kind of dark to pair well with pre-planned dance sequences.
