  5. That feels so surreal. I miss eating out.. like there are bigger things, but it's just something I miss. It's great that things are slowly getting back to normal(?) over there. be safe man
  6. I think TNBAR sorta serves as like a second chance type of song .. real quick, analysis incoming. the song's set in the past tense. follows the desperate cries of California n plays off it well. so it seems like she's glazing over problems she wishes she hadn't seen in the relationship and tries bargaining w Topanga nights and how they were so good together. but it seems she was more invested in it than he was, and she got let down. song promotes growth, from the demo that we had before.. but it's also duplicitous bc she clearly knows that she can't go back no matter how much she tries to. Even if she wanted to, it'd be a step back, and the past isn't even there anymore as it usually isn't, and she knows that. her dreams were swallowed in a stale void. and as smooth as the chorus is, u can feel the reluctance in the verses.. the slow guitar. the descending notes. how everything was. to me, what it feels like is that she's 13beaching and going back in her head, but at least she found a gem of self-assurance in what she wants for herself in the future. or at least that's what she can walk away w for herself after the dizzying ordeal.. it connects real well to California bc it almost seems like a "feels like we only go backwards.mp3" moment by tame impala. venice, bc it gives her better clarity towards the vision of what she wants in the future. that hasn't changed. norman, in the theme of him being into himself. tl,dr. it's a great take on what it feels like to sort of be in denial. swimming in the past in varying grades of reality, and back to the album trailer. was that island of refuge as blossoming as it was? difficult to ascertain, but she ends the record w hope, and I can't help but feel an overall sense of relief for her in that sense.
  7. Idk like the vibes are off and I feel for her.. I know that I'd prefer some soft rock, disco all that, but maybe at least for now, that hallmark interlude post I made seems more and more probable.. maybe like, a track more in the vein of Bartender too? it all feels so disconnected and by how violet's still stuck it's probably very much heavier transitioning from her norman state of mind to a better one. tl;dr highly probable for some kind of waterworks of a track or some..
  8. ah this might defeat the question but I guess I like both equally. I need the two to balance each other out what kind of lemonade do u like?

  12. No way... what's it like? How r the businesses and public places? Social distancing and all that?
  13. Was actually thinking about this too. I kinda just thought how a prism doesnt really have color itself, but when its beamed up, colors come out. so maybe it can be like a metaphor of her feeling empty, and having to go thru a failed marriage and having to rediscover who she was? Ghost's a pretty sad song. Love Me, not to sass, but she had to love herself, bc who she loved didn't love her back. This moment, day to day stuff to survive being able to plan gradually towards a future. Double Rainbow she sorta calls herself trash from her last relationship's perspective, which is actually horrible to hear someone sort of admit.. it's got the same reluctance/yearning as Lana's Love song.. BTGOG's her version of HiaD It kinda makes me think that even if she was goin thru a shit time, that she had to convince herself to be happier or else she would've been stuck there. like how Lana edited Beautiful People, Problems from the original demo that's what I take from it at least..
